This place is amazing! The cornish pasties are absolutely perfect. I am from Devon and having lived here in Cardiff for 8 years I've never found a cornish pasty like this. They are perfect in every way. Can't get enough. Give them a try u won't regret it

Ordered our St Davids Day Welsh cakes for the office from here, and we have all agreed these are the best welsh cakes from a shop/deli that we have ever had. Light and fluffy, delicious!

If you want an amazing breakfast, dinner and dessert look no further than this place. It has to be one of the best in Cardiff. Exceptional food and service, varied menu. Never late always on time with deliveries and always piping hot. Great value. Highly recommended ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I must congratulate all the staff of The Orchard who catered for my recent birthday party.The food was exceptional both in freshness and taste. The variety was second to none with ,with a variety of sandwiches and wraps,pies,pasties and finger food all very professionally laid out and presented by said caterers.I have attended various events over the years and can honestly say The Orchard was by some way the best I Have experienced in flavor variety and freshness. . Thank you all

Superb deli / butchers, amazing selection of hot food on offer from sausage rolls and pasties to curry goat, curries, chill etc. Jacket potatoes with toppings or plain. Great value too, theeat selection looks incredible too, especially the aged steak!!!

Always loved food from here bought various things over the years but today was the last time I will buy from there,I asked for a scotch egg and the assistant picked it up in her bare hands and plopped it into a bag,next I asked for a sausage roll and could she not use her hands this time,she looked totally flummoxed and what I can only assume was her superior piped up ‘oh they pick things up with their hands’to which I replied ‘well they shouldn’t be’ I then asked for a replacement scotch egg ,but quite frankly I am appalled at a food shop handling the food that’s ready to eat with bare hands and then taking cash with the same hand,what on earth has happened to basic hygiene not to mention coming out of a pandemic,would Asda or Tesco pick up your cooked ham with bare fingers and slap it on a bag? Or scoop out some salad for you? It’s the same thing and is disgusting behaviour for a food establishment,I worked in catering for 10 years plus and have passed health and hygiene exams and I can tell you this kind of thing is unexceptable ,very poor behaviour and shoddy training standards too

I would give 5 * for the quality and selection of food on offer. Everything there is also well priced. It is such a shame the service from the lady’s on hot food is appalling. Placing a simple order is met with a stinking attitude and makes asking for anything else really awkward.I’ve been here many times now and service is always the same. Food and selection is fantastic, the butcher is very kind and friendly but the ladies customer service as shocking. I’ve read reviews and the fact the “the owner” won’t take on constructive feedback about her staff is clearly where the true problem lies. Instead of accepting the bad reviews and implementing change, they defend the staff and criticise the customers instead. Not how a customer facing business should operate.

Food is nice but the customer service is appauling, you can clearly see that the staff are overwhelmed with just eat orders which is unfortunately rubbing off on their attitude towards walk in customers. My friend ordered a full breakfast roll and their reaction was pathetic. Food was stone cold because it was left on the side to prioritise Just Eat, my roll was then slammed down on the counter instead of being handed over, service with a smile comes to mind. Better off going to greggs just a few doors down.

Today we bought a Turkey and stuffing sandwich and it was wrapped in paper and all fell apart and the bread was so soggy this was not salvageable it was not very nice .
