Avoided this pub in past as never had anywhere to sit or even just rest your drink down. Had a little revamp recently, which has meant increased dining/seating available, and much nicer layout. Complimentary table snacks offered and table service make this a nice pub to go to. Haven't tried food, but will definitely do so in future.

Great atmosphere and different from any other pub in Southend. Aims for a better service (which can be noticed on the prices) but well worth the cost.

Excellent pub. Food served hot, couldn't do enough for you. Plenty of space. Clean and good atmosphere. Worth a visit.

It is nice since it has been done up but it was nice before. Not eaten any food in there to establish if it would be five stars but nice selection of drinks and reasonably priced.
