Sylvan Heights Play Area

This is a very new park and certainly worth a visit. There are many established trees which is a quite a rare site in new parks. Copper Beech is aplenty as well as nettle patches and other green areas. It is actually split into two sections. A small park for the little ones and a larger one for the old kids. It's actually a well thought out park as it allows the mums with their nippers to have fun without the risk of the older kids bumping into them. There are no 'classic' swings or slides in the big park but instead a large wooden scramble / climbing area. There is a single large net swing to allow for several people to go on at the same time. For me, the magic of this park was the trees. They were gigantic. It was nice to see that the trees were left to offer their grace and calm instead of felling them.

Lovely local park! My girls really enjoyed playing on the wooden climbing frame. There's also a place to have a meal as well as a separate toddler play area.
