Medivet 24 Hour Leamington Spa - Feldon Veterinary Centre

Routine check up for 2 cats. In and out quickly. The basics were checked.My only gripe is the communication we get from Medivet. I had an email to say my cats check up was due, another one a few weeks later. Didn't get around to it as busy but then got another email to say its overdue. That kicked me into action (genuine thanks) but when I called to make the appointment I was told the cat wasn't due for a check up for another month. I know the email reminders are automated but the system is flawed. Ended up waiting until now to bring in both cats as one was due in May, the other in June.Just feel that the service has become more automated and less personal since Medivet took over. I've been with Feldon for over 40 years and while I embrace improvement, growth, education etc the personal touch has gone, it feels very much like a conveyor belt. Someone new see's us every time we visit, there is little to no consistency of who we see and while medical notes are useful it doesn't beat the unspoken knowledge a vet has of an individual animal they get to know. Shame as it's an otherwise great practice.

Very professional, competent and friendly.They help my ferret get the medication he needed after being let down and messed around multiple times by a different veterinary practice in the area.They were clear and concise with communication and couldn't be more helpful. They received the history and did everything they could to order the medication asap and it actually worked out cheaper too which is an added bonus.I felt like they really cared about the animals as well as the distress it can cause to the ones that love them.They didn't charge any extra to be nice.I would highly recommend this veterinary practice.

Very helpful and polite staff. Over the years my dogs have been well looked after, especially by Hugh very understanding and compassionate vet you will ever meet.

The whole team were amazing - Monika was very caring and took the time to really care for our pets. This is our second time here and we have been blown away by the service o both occasions.

Booked to have an Animal Health Certificate completed to allow travel to France. Reception staff were lovely and also very organised. I was given a questionnaire to complete prior to the appointment. On the day the vet, Emma, was very friendly and organised. After completing the forms she went through the Certificate with me pointing out and explaining changes from the previous year. Very impressed with this Practice. The cost is not cheap, almost £300 but this is due to the ammount of time the appointment takes (aporox 40 mins starf to finish) and the cost of registering their Vets as an Authorised Vet" so they can complete these certificates."

Would highly recommend. Staff were very kind and friendly. Very compassionate and helpful with advice for pet care. I think the treatment was very reasonable priced, had a very enjoyable first experience with this vet practice and looking forward to ongoing care and treatment to be provided from this practice

Nearly 1 year ago our dog went lame on his front leg….. we took him to this practice, where following and initial consultation the vet advised an x-ray and warned us that it looked like cancer!! That evening was awful!! The following morning we took him for his x-ray, dreading the outcome!! Mid morning my wife took a call from the vet, IT’S CANCER!!! and given his age, arthritic hips, amputation isn’t an option. We were also told that a further scan wasn’t needed they were so sure of their diagnosis and that it would only confirm their findings, we were advised that euthanasia was the kindest option, so we asked if we could bring him home that evening to prepare ourselves and say goodbye, the vet agreed to bring him round from his anaesthetic. We then spent that day distraught and making plans to have him euthanised at home the following day. That evening we took a call from our regular mobile vet who had looked at his X-ray and advised us to seek a second opinion as it did not look like cancer and given his history with arthritis It was more likely to be the problem. The next day we took him a specialist where they reviewed the X-ray and confirmed our mobile vets findings!!! We then got a 3rd opinion and once again were told it was likely arthritis! He then began treatment for this, medication, aqua therapy, acupuncture. Nearly 1 year on he is living his best life, probably happy to be alive, he is still having treatment for his arthritic hips but he runs and plays like any dog of his age (10) so the moral of this story is not to take the first diagnosis, seek a second and third opinion….. IT MIGHT JUST SAVE YOUR DOGS LIFE!!!Needless to say we have never been back to this practice.
