A very good example of don't judge a book by its cover". I can highly recommend it - and by the way - good quality is never cheap. We had a perfect meal here with Scallops as starter and fish pie as main dishes. Both were perfect and with the very good service enjoyed a great evening."

Absolutely delicious. You have to book a table due to restricted number but it is no problem if you plan in time. Lovely staff and very nice seafood. Highly recommended. We will be back.

Both myself and son like seafood so booked here as our first meal on Islay. The service was excellent and we asked if we could have the mussels that wasn't on the starters but was as a main as starter portion. Very accommodating and really nice. The fish pie main and cheese board was both mega. Was introduced to the Islay Ale very good too.

Great food, location and service. I had the seafood plate and my wife had the fish pie, both were delicious as were the lemon posset and baked lemon cheesecake we finished with. Definitely pre-book.

A nice location with ok cuisine.The scalops were great, but 15gbp for 3 scallops is quite pricey, the fish pie was good and the desert (salted caramel brownie) was excellent.The cullen sink was wattery and the seafood stew was highly underspiced + had really little protein (5 mussels and a bit of fish)...In general the experience was good but not great.

Fresh seafood is what you are looking for on Islay, this is the place , good choice on the menu for kids and adults , weekly chefs specials, depending on where you live on the island it can be a bit of drive for about 40-60min , great location , you have to order sea food platter 24 hour in advance , we did not order it but saw loads being served!

Our group had a v good experience here, especially on the service aspect (Lauren was very helpful). I ordered the scallop burger - quite an unusual dish, but tasty. The ambience of the place is also nice.

We have had dinner here twice during our holidays on Islay and it is amazing. The seafood stew, the soup and the beef steak were really delicious! The service is really nice and the place is outstanding. It is by far the best restaurant to eat on Islay. We hope to come back soon again!
