D&B Academy of Performing Arts

My 18 year old daughter is about to leave D&B to pursue her studies. We have so many good memories and so I thought I would leave a review.We have loved being part of the D&B family, and I say that because that's the feeling D&B give to the children and young adults, and this is extended to the parents too. My older son still talks about his D&B experience even at the age of 25! As a family, we will miss D&B but will retain wonderful memories!I never knew that when I walked through the door of D&B with my son for the first time would I still be walking through the door 20 years later with my daughter what a blessing that has been!Thank you Donna, Bonnie and the whole D&B team for giving my children an invaluable experience!Thank youMcDonald familyxx

My child has been at D&B for a few years now, and describe it as a fantastic way to start your journey and the staff really encourage you to do so. I would recommend this academy to any people looking for professional work in their uprising career.It is a very passionate and welcoming school.

D&B's training is second to none!Students are taught by current industry professionals on a day to day basis. This is a great way to gain insight into the industry. These small scale classes guarantee every student individual feedback which will ensure they get the best out of there training. As well as the incredible training offered at D&B the atmosphere of the college is warm and friendly.D&B has a exceptional agency whereby you can work whilst training, which is a great way of building up your CV before you graduate. This is one of the only colleges that allow this whilst training.This college has a very successful history of performers in all areas of the industry. I absolutely love coming to college everyday and cannot recommend it enough to people who are serious about going into this career.

My children have been students in the theatre school at D&B Academy of Performing Arts for 5 years now and they absolutely love it. They have grown in confidence and ability over the years and what first started of as a hobby has led to some Incredible opportunities for them both with the prospect of an exciting career ahead of them in the performing arts industry. D&B is not just a performing arts school, it’s a family and you feel that as soon as you walk through the doors. Donna & Bonnie closely monitor every students progress and really take the time to get to know every single child. The teachers are all renowned in the industry and have an abundance of talent and experience, it’s reassuring as a parent to know that my girls really are learning from some of the best. The girls have made ample amounts of friends at D&B and it’s so lovely being part of a community where everyone supports one another and encourages each other. Training at D&B has been vital to my girls success and the support from teachers and students alike has aided their progression. I would not hesitate in recommending D&B to anyone who has a passion for performing arts. We travel a long way to attend D&B but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

My 2 girls have been with D&B since Jan 2018. Their skills in various forms of dance technique have grown immensely as has their confidence for performance in singing, acting and dancing. They are also progressing in ISTD and RAD Exams. The directors, Donna and Bonnie are consistently present in the studios. They’re always extremely welcoming and supportive in all aspects. The stage shows are especially an exciting time when there’s a lot of buzz!! The standard is very high and the dance teachers push for quality from students. I definitely recommend D&B.

Such an amazing amazing performing arts school! Their variety shows are spectacular and the talent of phenomenal. So impressive! My daughter has been going for two years. The teachers are so enthusiastic about all students it is a pleasure to watch.

My 8 year old joined D&B in September 2022 when wanting to learn stronger dance technique, and has since added D&B’s singing and drama classes to his training. He was immediately happy in his classes and appreciates the balance of learning new things with focus while still having fun and making many friends.As a parent I am very impressed with the studio’s care with safeguarding as well as the progress made in lessons. The teachers and staff knew his name straight away and have created an environment where children feel safe, brave, and encouraged, and this is shown in the quality of the lessons and the general atmosphere around the studio.The billing system is very clear and I appreciate that I receive an email before my monthly charge just to confirm and remind me the amount and day it will be taken.We are happy with our experience so far and looking forward to the show in the autumn!
