Really enjoyed our stay. Very good food, real ales are kept properly, can taste the difference. Shaun the dog is brilliant :)

My partner and I booked a room for the evening and its safe to say we regretted this decision. Not only are the rooms extremely dated and need a good clean the owner is incredibly rude and ignorant, my partner and I both left feeling completely flabbergasted as to how or why he is working in the hospitality industry. Although this is the only pub" in the village there are much better options available on air bnb for accommodation. Don't waste your time and money."

Fab 2 night stay at this warm and friendly inn situated in the heart of the lovely village of Thornton Curtis! From the moment we arrived, all 11 of us were made to feel welcome by Shaun, Dean, Rob and Rachel - the hospitality, food, and accommodations are outstanding. We look forward to revisiting this little gem in the very near future.

A very comfortable, friendly and accommodating place to stay providing well-kept beers, quality wines and good food. I highly recommend the home-made fish pie.

Absolutely lovely country pub that does amazing food. If you fancy a weekend away somewhere out in the nature and peaceful atmosphere with character, this is the place. Not only that they tend to have live acts and the landlord is absolutely hilarious. Warm welcoming place. 5*

Absolutely gorgeous homemade Sunday lunch and plenty of it. The pub is clean warm and very welcoming. They have a pub dog called Shaun who is so cool. I’ve never met a well behaved dog. He’ll come and say hello if you say hello to him. He doesn’t beg or hang around your table. I really wish this was my local pub. It’s well worth the drive believe me!! They have a well stocked bar and the wine is beautiful. Highly recommend!

What an amazing time we had here...a real gem!Shaun, Rob, Dean and Rachel were so welcoming and couldnt do enough for us. The food was delicious and the people within our group with food allergies had a great menu choice. The rooms were beautiful and absolutely spotless with really comfortable beds.Thank you so much to the team for making our family wedding weekend even more special...we laughed from start to finish!

I visited this hidden gem recently and I was immediately made to feel very welcome by the manger, his very friendly four legged friend and 2 members of staff.I ordered a steak pie which came out of the kitchen fresh and hotter than the sun! It was absolutely delicious.My only regret about this place is that it isn't on a more local path to me because I can honestly say I would be a regular.You have no idea how much I needed a friendly face and someone just to chat to me that day. I can't thank you enough for an experience that helped me get through a very very bad time. Thankyou.

Exceptional welcome and very well decorated. Really accomodating and a good atmosphere. Food excellent. Piping hot, well balanced and good portions. Will certainly visit again! Thanks to all.
