It's good although some of the equipment is looking worn and needs replaced

This is not a good gym.My biggest gripe is how incredibly messy it is. The weights are all over the place - on the floor, misplaced on racks, left on bars - everyday I spend half of my workout wandering around looking for the plates I need. There are no staff here, only personal trainers, so it never gets sorted.When there are classes on, the bass is blasting with such magnitude that no noise-cancellation will save you. If you ask to turn it down, it’s only slightly better.Air-conditioning rarely seems to work. It gets very warm when there’s a lot of people.The only redeeming factor is that it’s relatively cheap. I would say you get what you pay for, but this gym is not worth that.

Ive been a regular here since covid ended, staff are friendly but afew things wrong with place Im afraid. Ceiling lights flithy & untouched since opening, changing rooms/toilets not cleaned often enough & alot of the lockers dont shut properly. Majority of customers dont clean machines after use, especially males who dont wash hands after toilet use, many vaping in changing rooms & there is drug use on premises, staff are unaware or not vigilant enough.#could be better

Today was my first trip to Dunfermline puregym since moving to the area and I was previously a member of Stirling and then Alloa puregym. I had high expectations as Dunfermline is a bigger gym than Alloa but I was disappointed. There are only four squat racks including the Smith machine whereas Alloa has seven squat racks including the Smith machine despite Alloa being half the size. There is also only one large cable machine whereas Alloa has two large cable machines and two small ones. This meant that I was unable to complete my workout today as the only place to do deadlifts was constantly occupied and so was the cable machine. As it wasn't even a busy time or day to go the gym, I can imagine that I will be unlikely to complete any workout at this gym. I can also echo the sentiment of a previous review by pointing out how messy the weights area is and that there are piles of barbell weights randomly about rather than neatly put away. The only cherry on top of the cake is that my walk to the gym is shorter and my monthly membership is £4 less a month. It would be great if puregym could invest in their Dunfermline as there is so much potential, but the lack of essential gym equipment means that members aren't getting what they pay for.

Showers are always cold and usually not cleaned apart from that it's a good gym

Friendly staff, good equipment and relaxed atmosphere, but always feels humid and clammy. Could do with better air con and more than two doors, as there's always a queue to get in and out. Really loud when there's a class on as all open-plan.

Cool concept, friendly staff. Overall dirty. Ventilation is bad. Poor hygiene in the changing rooms. Showers and toilets are dirty. There are people training in jeans. I personally do not feel safe to workout due to very poor hygiene. Proper and detailed cleaning a couple of times a day will make the gym the best in Dunfermline. Everything must be cleaned and disinfected from treadmills to dumbbells.
