Standing Stones Lodge

We didn't book in advance. We asked for a room with the hot tub. When we asked the maintenance man ( who cane to our door chugging on a cigarette) to turn our hot tub on he said we didn't pay the extra 60 quid for 2 hr hot tub. This wasn't mentioned at check in. The room was quite dingy with just a bed, kettle, small fridge and bathroom. Paper cups to boot. At 120 pounds ($240 AUD) this was sub standard to what we are used to in Australia.

Incredibly cold, the heaters wouldn’t work late at night and it’s a bit of a drive to Belfast town, however the scenery was exceptional when it was snowing.In terms of the restaurant, I would not recommend going there - your money would be best spent somewhere else.My beef burger had no taste and seasoning, my partners roast chicken was drier than the Sahara dessert and the apple crumble was just a pile of steward apples with some biscuits - quite a disgrace to be honest.

Well kept hotel. The room and bathroom, including the shower, was immaculate. The bed sheet and quilt were so taught you could bounce a quarter off them. The managers were really approachable and we enjoyed our conversations with them. They were very accommodating and considerate. We didn't get a chance to try a meal at the restaurant, but it always smelled good (pro tip: make a reservation on the weekends. It looked packed. I would definitely stay again.

Great location if looking to go hill walking, outdoor lodges and hottubs and luxury rooms inside, the food is definitely worth trying, highly recommended

Excellent location with easy access to Belfast. Beautiful views and excellent service with staff being really helpful and attentive. Excellent breakfast. Would have appreciated a hairdryer and some glasses in the room. Thanks for a relaxing stay.

Fantastic place to stay after a day in the zoo. Rooms lovely and clean and the food was amazing. Only thing I would change is there isn't much on the breakfast menu for kids.

Excellent spot just outside the city. Fabulous value for money, attentive staff, excellent customer service skills and impeccably clean rooms. Highly recommended and look forward to a return visit around the festive season.

Stayed with my husband and two kids (9,15) on the 31st July. The place was situated in a quiet area and the road to it was narrow. We got the quadroom outsidein one of the lodges.Very cosy and clean. Staff were lovely and breakfast was lovely. I got the stacked soda and it filled me. My husband got the fry-up and my kids got the pancakes and syrup. Everything was lovely bar the weather when we got there it was raining bit cleared up the following day and the scenery was lovely. Highly recommend for families as there was a playground on the grounds and a green too. Staff were lovely not a bad word to say about them very helpful as there was no TV remote in our room and also checkin/out and sorting the times for breakfast. Sorry for the little amount of photos it was late when we got there and was rushing in the rain.

Beautiful place located ideally out of Central business area. The hosts are attentive, going above their remit to take care of us. Got caught up in snow storm and car would not go up the hill. They got us up to safety with our kids. The following morning they took us down and made sure we were on our way back home. Food was delicious, rooms warm. Never been to a place and been so well taken care of, hats off to this wonderful couple.

Stopped off for a relaxing coffee and were treated courteously.Nice to have somewhere to go when out in the wilds up a mountain.Plan to book a meal in the future and update accordingly.
