Really can't fault the Sunday lunch at the Hornsmill. Crispy skinned, deliciously soft belly pork. A good selection of nicely cooked veg. Crispy roasties.Justifiably popular and busy, but service was prompt, thoughtful, and efficient.Definitely recommended.Full menu was on offer and based on our experience of Sunday roast, we will definitely be visiting again.

I’ve never had a bad experience at the Hornsmill, the food and service is always great. Last night’s experience was especially excellent. We were looked after by Corinne and she just went above & beyond in order to please. It really was some of the best customer service I’ve ever encountered. She charmed my elderly neighbour and she couldn’t have given us more of her time despite how busy she undoubtedly was. Truly making it the difference between just going for a nice meal and going for a memorable one.What a lovely human she is. Thank you.

We came here for a good Sunday roast, and were not disappointed. It has a lovely comfortable and cosy country pub feel, and is located close to Chester, frodsham and delemere forest.We both opted for the dual meats roast (Turkey and beef) which is as delicious. It came with Yorkshire puds, gravy, roast potatoes, red cabbage, green beans, mashed carrots & a good portion of meats. Good portion sizes, very tasty & good service.We also had the chefs desert platter (£15.95 for 2) which included a range of their deserts. Again, these were good portion sizes and very tasty. Only feedback would be for more custard and less eton mess as it’s very rich.All this came to £58, and was well worth it. Would happily come again and highly recommend to others.

A lunchtime meal with my wife after a number of years of absence, and was it a welcome one. Hospitality was good and the menu choices were excellent. Combined with a good selection of ales what more could I ask for. Highly recommended.

My parents and I had a thoroughly enjoyable meal at the Hornsmill. The staff greeted us warmly and were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout. The choice of food is a level above the usual pub fayre and the quality was excellent and the presentation was nicely done. Staff explained there may be a slight delay due to a large party of guests ordering at the same time. It was a first time visit but my parents have already insisted we return for another meal.....and I fully agree! Well done to the front of house staff, and the chefs!

Excellent place, excellent food. Sunday Roast Platter always has great quality meat and trimmings. Wine selection offers some of the best options in the area. Selection of desserts has just enough variety and they offer a mini dessert with a coffee if you'd prefer.

We are visiting from France and met a very good friend for lunch. Everything is excellent and we will return again. Jane, our waitress, was very attentive and ensured that everything was perfect! Well done to the team. You're doing a great job !! We each made different lunch choices and we were not disappointed

Decent food, and easy to get a table. I had the steak and ale pie and the brownie for dessert. The steak and ale pie could be imporved upon, and i was hoping for much better for the price. The chocolate brownie was lovely and moist.The service was quick but lacked refinement. Would be nice to be shown to a table rather than just pointed in the direction of the dining room.

Booked for a party of 20 for the Christmas Fayre menu. Everyone thouroughly enjoyed their 3 courses and the service was superb. The lady who served the meals was even concerned about the heat of the plates for the children and brought out cool ones to swap so that they children didnt burn their hands, which was appriciated. A lovely atmosphere and comfortable seating. It was nice to see how busy it was too which is a sign of a good pub. Well done all and thank you for a lovely experience *****
