Nightel

It was fine for what I paid.Only knocking a star off because there was no TV remote, no spoon to stir my tea with, and no soap or shower gel.

Good room and shower, however rooms did not have a fan or air conditioning during the heatwave which caused discomfort when trying to sleep. Breakfast was lovely, and probably would stay again if in the area.

Good clean decent room. The only issue for me really was parking.I arrived at 11.15pm - in the dark. The signage as to where park for a hotel you can see, is very poor & counter-intuitive because you are directed by a small sign to the right to a Hotel called the Hampton whilst there is a car parking lane to the left that takes you in front of Nightel.I took the obvious left lane. Parked on the forecourt in the almost empty car park in front of the Nightel Hotel. The night staff member came out to me and told me I should not park there and directed me to the Hampton car park.Whilst they were very kind and helpful, the last thing I expected or needed was to have to get back into my car and park at the hotel a hundred yards or so away. Fortunately it was not stormy or raining!The solution surely is to ensure there are 50 or so car parking spaces at the Nightel.

Comfy bed although single. Nothing around at night, just the BP garage a few miles away. It's a 'dry hotel' so no bar. Staff are lovely and very helpful. Food lovely and really reasonably priced.

In the bathroom 2 separate taps with cold and hot water in the bathroom,no any shower gel and soap has long been a luxury item;))) ,small room and no air conditioner in the room.

The room was adequate. The staff both at the Nightel reception and the Hilton reception were very nice and helpful.However, I wouldn't stay here more than a night. We used it as an overnight stop, and it was great for that, but that's about it. There's no lifts as well, or so we were told.

Very lovely hospitality, felt very welcome. The rooms were decent and simple. They had a recreational room which was quite large and nice to hang out. All my needs were met and the food provided was excellent and catered to my requirements which I was very grateful for. One thing I think could be improved is the shower system, as it seems quite outdated and PVC has turned yellow.However overall I was very satisfied with my stay and would certainly recommend to others.
