The Spa Residential Home

I don't usually write long reviews but I feel like I need to with this place. I've never been fond of the idea of sending any family members to a home, always thinking they wouldn't get the attention and care they needed, but this place has really changed my perspective. Not only does my mother look happier but she is getting the care that I just couldn't provide, the food is excellent, the staff are unbelievably friendly, and there is a really great atmosphere here. My Dad has been here for about three weeks now. It has been one problem after another. Medication has been sporadic, staff have been unsure what medication they were administering even on one occasion. His washing has been taken but not returned when he needs it, and his newspaper which is his lifeline sometimes when he cannot go out, is frequently late. He was also moved rooms, due to a gentleman who was shouting most nights and keeping him awake. The bed that he slept in in the new room had no sheet and he slept on a plastic mattress protector. I'm upset with the care" that he is receiving there...very sad"

Our Mother spent her final days in theSpa.The staff showed professionalism love and total dedication to her and the family at this very sad time.We and her social worker could not fault her care and found it totally family orientated.Her food was specially cooked and favourite ones given.We frequently visited and never found Mum being treated any differently and even though she had Vascular dementia the staff communicated and treated her with utter respect.Thank you Sally, Steve Lewis and your dedicated staff.From all the family..
