Divertimenti - The Ultimate Cookshop & Cookery School

I've been coming to this place for at least 7 years as I live around the corner. It is usually always a pleasant experience and customer service, sadly today was not.I came to buy a few new le creuset pans and to source new deBuyer products to complete my patisserie cupboard, however was told I could not use to lift to go downstairs with my baby in the pram.The assistant, whom had an attitude, couldnt give a toss whether I could go downstairs or not, stating that it is a lift for goods only and not customers. He left me with no choice but to leave empty handed with a bad taste in my mouth about the service.FYI, everytime I have visited in the past, the sales assistants have always allowed me to use the lift or physically assisted me downstairs with the pram. I really feel sorry for those whom have additional needs such as wheelchairs or similar, how would they go downstairs? How would they even navigate around the shop when everything is so cramped?Unfortunately for Divertimenti, I brought my items elsewhere!

Excellent cookshop. Expensive, very helpful staff. Near the Brompton Oratory and Holy Trinity Brompton. Just wish they had a small coffee bar - like their former shop in Marylebone , which had the best flat white coffee in London . When you need a good mushroom brush to brush your mushrooms , then you will find a good choice of them in Divertimenti.

I was after a gift for some friends we were visiting abroad. I initially looked on the Liberty website and found a Bordallo Pinheiro Watermelon Serving Dish - 35cm. The price was over £100… after further trawling of the net I found the same bowl with Divertimenti for £84. I contacted their customer service and explained I needed the bowl the next day. A very helpful gent named David promised it would be sent first class, free of charge, and the bowl duly arrived as promised. Superb customer service and what’s more we love the bowl. We will be getting one for ourselves!… thanks David.

Independent, family run store with beautiful homeware. Shopped online and in store. Very friendly service both times. Bought some pasta bowls online which arrived well packaged and easy to return/exchange. New favourite shop!

Excellent customer service. I ordered an item for a Birthday present, unfortunately the wrong napkins arrived, got in touch with them & I had a prompt response. Very good customer service.

Simply one of the most nice and fully equipped cooking shops around London.High quality products and kitchen tools,extremely beautiful pottery and very helpful and professional service.You can find everything you need to equip your kitchen with style and design.Highly recommended.

This shop is children unfriendly.We had visited the shop yesterday with a 8 year old boy and 2 year old girl. We had reminded my boy before we went in that the items inside the shop are fragile product. I believed when the sales person discovered it has a child in shop, he had came and stayed behind my partner and my son with quite impatient manner. When they left the shop and were waiting me, that sales person had spoken this leaving greeting Thank you for go away" which we felt it was rude."

HORRIBLE AND RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE (same like most of the other reviews )I visited this store close to the time it was closing. When I walked in, the guy announced very loudly that they are closing. We browsed around and this same guy shouted to ask us if we were buying because he had to close the till. A bit taken aback by his attitude, we told him no. He then told us to leave the store as they were now closed.This mama horrible attitude and mannerism was not reflective of a high end store in Knightsbridge. It was more like a street haggler, rude and brash.I asked him for the manager and he said he was the manager which I doubt very much as a person of his calibre couldn’t have been a manager.Never going to return here. Would rather buy things at another store. Also, I read through the reviews and this store has consistently low ratings and reviews for customer service. A note to the real manager: fire this monkey on your shop floor.

Apparently I was not the only one to receive the rude treatment, judging from the other negative reviews.When I walked in I was at first happy to see my kind of shop with some quality items as the cast iron pots and pans, olive wood boards. I hoped to get one of those rare shape quality ones that are passed on in the family, some cost over £200, unfortunately it never came to that.Items on sale are different, some are defenetly not the same good make, but then they are on sale, £2+. The cups, plates, boxes of something and heavier pots were placed on the sales table without any thought, just kind of randomly.When I walked by the table with the sales items, someone made me move too close to a box that was overhanging over the edge (no space). It moved, and that had a knockdown effect on the heap of pottery placed behind in columns. A wonder really, only 4 of the cups fell onto the floor, none broke. I walked around the table, picked up 2, but I couldn't see 2 other in the narrow passage between the tables.Just the same as in other reviews (and more than one!) an angry employee went rather loudly: Pick up the cups!" And then "You are rude. You should apologize!" I was taken aback

Excellent customer service. I ordered an item for a wedding present, from the couple's list, which unfortunately arrived with a chip. I had a prompt response when I reported the damage and a replacement was duly sent out. I subsequently received a phonecall from Mark at Divertimenti, to inform me the delivery van had been involved in an accident and my replacement had been broken!!! They no longer had any more exactly the same, only in a different colourway, so I was offered either a refund or the alternative colour. I feel Divertimenti made every effort to resolve the problem speedily and am very satisfied with the service I have received.
