It was our first time to rent a motorhome and we went for a 4 berth, even though there was only 2 of us. Although I didn't tell the office, the reason for having the 4 berth was due to my husband requiring a hip replacement and needing the double bed to himself in order to be able to move about and relieve the pain. My plan was to then use the other bed, to give him more comfort at night.Pros:- The price seemed reasonable against others we looked at- Good engagement when booking- Good tour round the vehicle on collectionCons:- Although the offices are in Leigh Road, the collection is from the Essex Marina. This was my first time to the Marina and it added about half an hour drive from anywhere you'd want to go. This results in not only additional time on the journey (and fuel) but also having to get used to driving the vehicle immediately through country lanes.- The 2nd bed was a pull down above the dining area. There was a harness type thing that you could pull up for safety. There is definitely not enough room for 2 adults and if I had children, I wouldn't want them up there either. If you need multiple beds, my advice is to go for the other one where you make up the bed each night where the dining area is.- The person that we collected from had left the firm when returning it, which resulted in them wanting us to just drop off the vehicle without any checks at all. Looking back I should have pushed for them to spend 5 mins with us to do a check of the vehicle. All leads etc., were put back into the location that there were in on collection so I was shocked to receive an email a few days later, stating that we had lost a power cable and that the money would be taken out of our deposit. Considering they had my number, a quick phone call would have resolved the issue immediately without accusations and a few days later I received confirmation that it had been found in the location I stated, without an apology for the initial accusation.My rating is based on the location of the pickup and the issue following the return at the end of the trip.

Having never leased a vehicle before we as a family of four could not have been happier with the help,customer service and quality of vehicle we received from planet escapes.The vehicle we hired was the swift and as a first time motorhomer the vehicle was perfect and the help and advice given by mark was outstanding.Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company
