Birthday TreatWe arrived fresh off the bus and a few minutes walk to the restaurant. We were greeted and seated in the middle of the restaurant, I had nice to the far side of the table as it was a little right for me.We were offered water and in a timely manner a bottle of tap water was delivered. I ordered the wine and we perused the menu. The wine arrived and was poured. We were then approached and told what the specials were. I ordered the Chicken Terrine, the steak from the specials menu and a selection of cheese with homemade chutney and homemade oatcakes. I ordered a volcanically hot black coffee. The staff were all very friendly, the food was some of the best I have eaten and the venue very nice.Thank you!

Wow! My favourite restaurant in all of Edinburgh! My wife and I had a wonderful dinner here, ordered a bottle of red wine, had a delightful charcuterie board and the roast pheasant was fantastic. For dessert we had the orange & almond cake (sublime!).The service was also exceptional with staff being genuinely friendly and lovely smiles. I wish we could have come back again but unfortunately they were closed the next evening for a well deserved night off. If I could I would eat here most nights.I would highly recommend Cafe St Honoré!Book well in advance!

A great meal with delicious combinations and thankfully not a huge menu. Very relaxed atmosphere with cheerful staff and good ambience. Will definitely go again.

We had two starters, the smoked trout and pan fried potato dumpling, AMAZING. Then we split the lamb rump which was perfectly cooked. Every bite was fantastic.

Just had a lovely family meal for four, the food was delicious, they catered very well for my sons partner who is vegan. we each enjoyed 3 courses all different, beautifully presented and timed perfectly. The ambiance was lovely very French,The staff were all lovely and attentive but discreet. It is expensive but quality food and professional preparation costs more.My house red was lovely, and our coffee perfect. We will be back!

Cute little French bistro in a hidden back street in Edinburgh. With so many restaurants closed or open with restricted hours when I visited, the experience here was perfect with no fuss polite, patient and friendly service from all the staff making for a relaxed dining atmosphere. Food was delicious with an extensive wine menu, and a fresh daily menu and specials. Only issue is it was on the slightly expensive side for this kind of dining but portion sizes were decent!

We really enjoyed dining here: very cozy and familiar atmosphere, the waiters were all kind and the food was amazing. We ordered the soup, tarte tatin and the cod and the crème brûlée, everything delicious! Also, they have a wonderful selection of wines. Truly recommended!
