Greenslades Nursing Home - Sanctuary Care

We were horrified by terrible standard of care my mum received at Greenslades during a 10 day respite stay. We are placing a complaint with QCQ. My mum was frightened, confused,dehydrated, and had mystery bruises on her when I collected her. I found her at 11AM stuck in bed with rails up in the dark, no lights on no curtains open, no TV or radio, having not had breakfast despite a requirement that she had food with her meds. It is quite clear she was stuck in the room on her own the whole time and not kindly cared for she was very frightened. It took her a fortnight to recover her strength, wits and equilibrium when we got her home. Be very careful our visit before booking suggested she would be well looked afte, dont believe a word.

Would not recommend for end of life care. Awful experience with manager and porter who showed no professional care or compassion.

My dear mother is cared for by wonderful staff at this purpose built home.It's a great relief that a nurse is always present, and that the carers are without exception kind and respectful of her as a person.I visit regularly and see at close quarters how excellent the team are, and I feel confident that mum is recieving the very best care.

Our mum had a short stay here after being released from hospital and needed respite. We found all the staff were kind and kept her clean and warm. They explained mums care needs and made her as comfortable as possible. Sadly our mum passed away but they handled her last days with great care and respect even with these covid times.

Disgusting care home!Complex needs left to own devices.Dirty and overpowering smell of urine etc. I'd rather go to prison!

The staff could not do enough to help my friend. From the initial show around with the manager to the day she sadly passed away. Everyone was kind friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. During her final days we were spent long hours sitting in her room and felt like we were part of the big Greenslades family. The support they give me was amazing especially as I am not family.
