I have been under Laurence Folland's care now for a few years since I moved from another practice. The care I have received from him and his team is exceptional. Treatment is never a nice thing to face but they have made it as painless and easy as possible. Before and aftercare can also not be faulted. Thanks very much.

This has been my Dentist in recent years. Treatment is 1st class and painless. Recently I have had one root filling and two tooth extractions. All dreaded procedures, but completely pain free and straightforward.

I’m a new patient at the surgery and I’m delighted with the practice. The receptionists are very welcoming and efficient, with appointments being confirmed by email immediately. Laurence is my dentist who is extremely thorough, explaining any procedures in a concise and understandable way, as did my hygienist. Outstanding treatments, I highly recommend Portwall Dental surgery.

Effective and efficient booking in process and easy to book future appointments with very helpful receptionists. Although this is a busy practice both the hygienist and dentist take time to explain your specific problems and how to address them. They also compliment you when they believe that you've been 'following their instructions'. I wouldn't go so far as to say it was a pleasant experience (it was the Dentist after all), but it certainly was positive and constructive.

My wife and I have both been under the care of Laurence for the last 3 years. We have never experienced the amazing level of care at any other dentist. Jane is so lovely and accommodating even though appointments have often had to be rearranged due to complex health issues, nothing is too much trouble. Laurence involves you in your treatment and decision making and inspires complete trust that any treatment he recommends is in your best interest. You never feel rushed and he ensures your comfort at every stage even during longer treatments. Alison is a fantastic hygienist and has skillfully educated us on how to achieve the best dental hygiene. It is always a pleasure to deal with any of the lovely members of staff at Portwall. I would like to share how pleased I am with treatment I receive from Laurence Folland at Portwall Dental Practice.I have been attending since Laurence joined, over five years ago. In that time I have had a number of treatments including bridge work done most succesfully.All treatment is discussed together carefully before being started, what it entails, and considerating any health problems that may be present and affect the treatment . Care is taken at every step with good advice and guidence from hygenist.Together with friendly reception staff a visit to the practice is as pleasant and comfortable as a dental visit could be. Laurence Folland has been looking after my teeth for quite a few years now. He and his team are excellent. He is very patient and explains everything. Unfortunately, I have needed holes filling, but I hardly felt anything, he is so gentle with his care. He has also given excellent advice on teeth care. I wish I had know some of his advice when I was little.My elderly parents also go to him and he takes a lot of care explaining what he needs to do and what he recommends to be done. He doesn't do unnecessary work and looks to preserve the teeth you have.I grew up with an unusual bite, where my lower molars did not erupt and touch the top teeth. Unfortunately, this has had the adverse effect whereby my front two teeth have slowly worn. Laurence, identified that my front two teeth would only get worse over time. So we explored various options. In the end, six of my molars were built up with inlays, as well as my front two teeth. For once in my life, I now have a full bite, which is amazing. But through the whole process, Laurence discussed, explained and talked me through all the pros and cons. I have complete trust in him now.When I have my checkups, I also see the hygienist, Alison Jennings. She is very thorough and also very informative. My teeth are in excellent hands.You always get a friendly welcome when you arrive and there is complimentary parking for patients.During Covid, the practice adapted and made sure the staff and patients were kept safe, with the current safety advice at the time. New equipment was installed and the hygiene was top notch. To be honest it was one of the safest places to be, which was a huge relief during a difficult time.If you are in need of a dental surgery, I would without hesitation, highly recommend Portwall Dental Surgery.
