About the Business

Eastham Country Park | Country Park Eastham Country Park is situated on the Wirral bank of the River Mersey and provides superb views across the estuary with its abundant birdlife. The 100 acres of broadleaf woodland offers opportunities for peaceful walks, birdwatching and orienteering. A network of surfaced paths provide access throughout the woodland. A Visitor Information Centre, Rangers office and toilets are situated in the courtyard adjacent to the main carpark (coaches welcome). Picnic areas are provided on the open grassland close to the river and in the Tea Garden which serves refreshments and snacks during spring and summer. Two public houses are situated on the riverfront. Ranger Service The Eastham Country Park Rangers are based in the courtyard close to the Visitor Centre. The role of the Rangers is to help you enjoy your visit and to manage the park for the benefit of both visitors and wildlife. Great for walking the dog. Very large woodlands but it gets super muddy.

Love Eastham, have been coming here since I was a baby (46 years)It's a shame the rangers station hasn't been open to look at the bird hide for years and the bear pit is no longer accessible, this is why I dropped a point. There are mainly responsible dog owners, although I was jumped on by a dog on my last visit. Sometimes it can be dodge the doggy but there is a large area which is fenced and gated dog free zone if you want to let the kids run round without fear of being jumped up at or falling in pooh. There is a nice cafe if you can get a table, the public house The Tap is a great bar or just sit with an ice cream out of the old ticket office looking over to liverpool watching ships pass and planes landing.

Good place to start the Wirral South East cycle route. Easy access from M53, J5, parking, toilets, picnic spot and good direction signs enroute.

Visited Eastham as my Grandfather lived there. His funeral was in the Church there. Went to the cafe next to the Eastham Country Park for lunch. Views across the Merseyside to Liverpool are superb.

Fascinating place! Sad there's not much left of the Victorian zoo and gardens, but with a bit of imagination it's easy to picture how the people of that era would be amazed by the exotic creatures on display! The 'Secret Garden' cafe is situated behind The Tap pub, is a wonderfully tranquil location to have a refreshing drink and a bite to eat!

What can I say? Wonderful park to walk, run, jump and skip. We use it to walk our puppy as do countless others. Dedicated dog free area (fair size) if you choose to avoid them. The bear pit is nothing spectacular at the moment. A tree has fallen in it I think. The bluebell woods was amazing whilst the bluebells were in bloom. My favourite bit in the beech groove, which is spectacular. Cathedralesque. Fabulous woodland walks. Walk over the cliffs looking at and beyond the Mersey.Mimosa cafe on site, which is slightly over priced. But on a sunny day, the pub overlooking the Mersey is perfect for refreshing. Access to three playing fields.Car park is pay and display @ £1 per hour maintained by the council. Most seem to park for free on the street. It is a wonderful urban oasis to get lost in for the two hours or so. Longer with a picnic would be wonderful on a sunny day.

What a wonderful park and loads of parking. A little quaint cafe selling food, drinks and snacks, also sells dog ice-cream.
