If you are looking for a female dentist, look no more. I looked for a female dentist at different places but they were all either private or full. When I came to this dentist, they accepted me right away and even gave me an appointment the very next day! The appointment was also very good and the dentist was caring. Would definitely recommend!

Fabulous surgery..so much so I travel from kingstanding to see them. Always helpful and they have saved my broken teeth!*updated 25/5/23. I attended for my check up and initial orthodontist appt on 25/5/23 and on the taxi journey there from Kingstanding, I realised the appt was actually the day previous. When I arrived I was sincere and honest in my apology and advised it was genuine error and was sweetly told my NHS account had been closed, but strangely they would be happy to see me privately??? I am not sure when I would have been informed of this? I was so upset, particularly as I was going to ask to be referred to the dental hospital again for botox therapy for my TMJ. The waiting list for this treatment is around 6 months usually. I now have no dentist and so far have rang around 30 dentists and am unable to find an NHS dentist- all happy to take me on privately. I am in chronic pain with the TMJ and am at the point of no return with my mental health, due to this pain and have a loose front tooth which has occurred in the last two weeks due to the TMJ flare up. The dental hospital will only see me if I am referred by a dentist and I am now left in a horrible black hole with the prospect of taking painkillers and losing my broken and loose teeth. We are in an economic crisis and my gas and electric bill has tripled along with food prices increasing dramatically along with the general cost of living increases and I am not in a position to afford private care and find it truly heinous to be booted off NHS books but happily accepted on a private basis. Clearly ran by Tories and zero empathy shown when this decision was made or any common decency shown and the person who made this decision was too cowardly to call me to explain their decision.I have chronic TMJ which causes me to break teeth on a regular basis, along with very painful gum issues due to early menopause at 40 (52 now), Ehlos Danlos Syndrome and I also have Dyspraxia- a learning difficulty.I have had to cancel and “rearrange” two previous appts prior to missing the appt on the 24/5/2023 as a) I was unable to get time off from work and b) my partner and I “were” both registered at the practice and partner has very recently been diagnosed with inflammatory arthritis- which leaves him in chronic pain and unable to walk or drive most of the time and on this occasion he made the decision to cancel both of our appointments, as he was physically unable to drive to the appointment due to severe pain and feeling very unwell - as his arm was extremely swollen due to the inflammatory arthritis (I do not drive due to my dyspraxia) and he fully explained this to the receptionist. My partner has been told that he has to have regular check-ups due to the medication he had been placed on for the inflammatory arthritis and he now had trust issues with the surgery to care for him, as what happens if he is unable to attend an appoint in the future due to his condition, as this practise clearly do not care about their patients and clearly only care about money and will not hesitate to remove him.I have raised a complaint with the NHS regarding this issue and also asked my MP to look into the issue of NHS dentists no longer wanting to be part of the NHS and only treating patients privately. I urge anyone else who has been in this very very upsetting position to be in.

Wouldn’t recommend going here! The dentist was conversing with her colleague the whole time about her personal life which I had to listen into which I thought was quite unprofessional! Appointment felt rushed and really quick! Didn’t reassure me, have patient rapport or asked if I had any questions or concerned, wish I didn’t go here and pay, better off going to a better practice

Very much a big shame–the surgery itself have good dentists, but the receptionist is absolutely horrible. I am very annoyed. My mother was in a lot of pain and needed her tooth taken out, so needed to rearrange the scheduled appointment in a few days to do it today instead as she was in severe pain and not able to sleep all night. The receptionist recommended she takes ibuprofen–which she is not allowed to take due to her medical history! She said she called us back to say we can do the appointment, but we didn't receive any calls back. She is a very rude woman, with appalling manners and poor conduct. I hope the dental practice raises an issue and deals with the receptionist once and for all as there has been multiple other reviews from patients that voice the same complaints.Terrible service! Would not ever recommend! I believe the receptionist name is Karen, which is a very apt name if I do say so myself.

I spoke to this lady Caroline to book an appointment! I waited over 2 months for this appointment! I turn up and was told I have no appointment booked!I am fuming because they would not give me an appointment when i most need it and when its booked i turn up and they tell me I have no appointment booked!Whilst making the appointment i was asked so many questions to what the problem was etc and given a date and time. I then turn up and find out on the day she didn’t even book it! This lady definitely not doing her job right! I have been with this dentist from very young age and now i need to consider changing dentist as i cannot get any appointments when i most need it and misleading information!I asked to speak to the manager and she claimed to be the manager. Why would the manager say she will book me an appointment over the phone, give me a date and time, on arrival being told it’s not booked! Why give false information!

This dental practice shouldn't even exist! The receptionists think they own the place so they'll treat how it fits them. If they're having a bad day... you're in for a treat. And as for the dentists, they will find a small issue, or create one there and then, make it worse and tell you that you have this and that issue so you will need to get it fixed only through that certain practice. Don't go there, save yourself, trust me.

Because NHS dental practice is usually very difficult to register now. I called around 10 dental practices, and Lozells Road Dental Surgery was the only one that helped me register via phone. Then, they helped me to book an appointment a week later. In the past three weeks, I had three teeth dental fillings at Lozells Road Dental Surgery. The dentists there are awesome. Before I visited them, I was quite anxious. I checked Google Reviews, I found many people complained about their receptionists. I was quite worried about it. But when I called them, the person I spoke to was quite nice. So, I told myself it should be fine. When I went there for my appointment, their receptionists were actually very very friendly. Every time I communicated with them, both of those two receptionists were very nice. They usually send a message two days before your appointment to confirm it. Therefore, if you don't receive your message, you'd better double-check with them if your appointment has been booked or not.

After a long day trying to make it on time for your appointment just to be sat there another half an hour waiting and watching People walk in! Had to ask for a refund as I had to leave and couldn't wait any longer-also what's more upsetting was, I asked other people who were waiting with me and they were called in on time ( ie Mine was at 4:30 another patient was at 4:45 i believe and I still sat there waiting whilst she got called in, how's that fair ?) Moreover, one the receptionist was like NHS are like this I had to wait for my appointment for 3 hrs

Worst possible service. I booked an appointment 2 weeks ago for 9am this morning and I was told they have no record. This is the 2nd time this has happened.A formal complaint is going into the NHS, a serious change of management is required.
