Great eatery, and that’s just the start for this little bistro/lounge - a must visit for locals and visitors.Started with a few plates, all of which were fantastic - ranging from the garlic mushrooms, to the DIVINE honey-coated chorizo. The staff were brilliant - quick to serve, and willing to provide suggestions where asked.The drinks menu is just varied enough to cover all bases - and the cocktails are out generous and well made.Once the meal was done, we stuck around for a couple of drinks and it’s then the secret lounge bar emerged.Wonderful atmosphere, great playlist and DJ, and the bar staff barely skipped a beat all night.I can absolutely recommend this place a and will certainly coming back in the near future.

We went to Carmen for the bottomless brunch, the service was shocking. Charged £40 for 90 mins only got 4 drinks. They purposely only had one waiter taking orders and serving a room full of customers and he didn't have a clue what he was doing. We enjoyed it the first time we went, never again. AVOID!

If you want to be treated like you are in Karen's diner then this is the place for you.I believe the Karen who is extremely rude is the owner but you would never tell.I originally booked a table on my phone and when I tried to confirm card details it crashed so I called the restaurant. The man who answered was lovely and said it had all come through and was confirmed and he would send me a conformation email, which he did.Enter barrage of emails from Karen asking me to confirm my card details, I explained that I had already phoned and they had come though and all was confirmed but she wasn't happy was this and insisted I had to send them though again, even though I forwarded by conformation email. Her emails were so rude and unprofessional I assumed it was some youngster who was unhappy with their job, but no, its the owner.So I sent my card details through again only to then get confirmation that I had sent them twice (as I already knew) so I sent her a copy of this and explained that she was wrong, clearly she cannot handle being wrong and so didn't respond to this and hid away behind her computer.On the night 3 of my friends had to cancel and Karen reveled in telling my she would 'have to take £30 then and you can ask your mates for the money back' such spectacular customer service.I ordered a chicken gyros which had about 3 pieces of chicken in and then was full of chips and you got a side of chips with this, so basically, a chip wrap and chips?One of our party didn't get her food and so we had to ask for it again after everyone else had finished and then Karen came over with the card machine demanding all our cards in the rudest manner. She is so bad its laughable.Anyway, I've given a one star and that was for the waiter who was absolutely lovely, friendly and professional.My advice would be, give this place a miss and go to The Cabinet, better food, friendly staff and live music.

My wife wanted a low key 40th birthday with drinks with friends and family. We got exactly what we asked for. Everything was great. Bar staff were excellent. Had the whole bar to ourselves. Will definitely have another do in here
