Sussex Law Solicitors recently acted on my behalf with the sale of my house. The whole process was completed in just 6 weeks! I was overseas for the transaction and yet Jane and her team made the process extremely stress free for me. Communication and any questions or concern I had where dealt with swiftly. I would certainly recommend this firm.

Jane Cole was the conveyancer on my recent property purchase and I couldn’t have been happier with her service. She was very thorough, picked up on important points that could easily have been missed and worked very hard to resolve issues as they arose (which happened quite a lot!) I wouldn’t hesitate to work with Jane again and I will certainly be recommending her to others. The rest of the Sussex Law team were also very helpful and a pleasure to deal with.

My partner and I used Sussex Law to purchase our first house and we’re very pleased with the service we got. Jane was very helpful from start to finish. Being that it was our first time buying a house we really didn’t know what we were doing and Jane talked us through the process at every stage and made us feel very comfortable. Jane Cole acted on my behalf. Jane is communicative and clear and progressed my conveyancing as smoothly as I have known.My estate agent pushed me onto a panel firm with one of those awful 'never speak to a human' processes that is designed to seemingly cut you, the customer, out of any meaningful contact with anyone involved in one of the most important purchases of your life. Jane and her team really are fantastic. This was our second time using Sussex Law but our first sale/purchase. Everyone involved was professional and extremely helpful. This being our first sale (and of a leasehold property with management agents) we had a lot of additional questions. Jane and her team were incredibly quick to reply and kept us up to date with all matters, no question was too small and even at the height of the stamp duty holiday (when things must have been busy) standards didn't slip. Our buyers solicitors were not as efficient and we are well aware of how lucky we are in having timely communication. We cannot recommended them highly enough and will not use anyone else for future conveyancing.

Sussex Law did not represent myself but instead the sellers of a plot of land we were purchasing. I would not recommend Sussex Law to anyone, and for future property sales or purchases, I would drop out of the transaction before going through this process again with Sussex Law involved. From reading their other reviews their quality of work seems to be at either end of the scale, unfortunately we experienced them on a bad day that lasted 8 months. Jane rarely answered calls to either our solicitor or her own client, if her assistant answered you were promised a return call that never materialised. She brought up issues to the sellers at the eleventh hour rather than discussing them ahead of time. She also added in her own clauses into the contract without the seller’s request, which had to be sent back to Sussex Law multiple times to get these clauses removed. Our solicitor’s fees were also much higher than quoted as they had to pick up the slack if we wanted the work to be completed to a high quality and in a timely manner. For a relatively easy and simple transaction there were a lot of delays and annoyances that I feel could have been avoided if the sellers had been using a different company.

Absolutely wonderful experiencing Sussex Law again after 12 + years Back in 2010 they helped me purchase a flat in Hove Kingsway. Now my long term tenant of this flat paid for by the council has to move through ill health I am 76 now so good time to sell up and who better help me than Jane Cole You always feel in your dealings with Her that you are being looked after by someone who not only has a vast knowledge and experience and immensely capable but is also really really caring about every client We need more Jane Coles Thank You so much JaneMike Sykes
