Last-minute appointment but had a wonderful time. The service is second to none, and the food was just amazing. We had 8 courses in total, plus salmon with avocado handroll. Highly recommend this place to any sashimi and sushi lover. The Hungarian young lad who served us is very professional and lovely. Thank you, Lucky Cat. We will definitely come back!

I have very low food requirements. I can spend £200 per person on a meal, or I can eat chips and gravy for £2.I go out to eat for the sake of finding something delicious. I never look at the price.I have a certain understanding of Japanese cuisine.Today I went to Lucky Cat Manchester. I have never eaten a Japanese meal that was so bad. I would not recommend it.Sushi and sashimi are not difficult to make as long as the ingredients are fresh. Can you confirm that the dish in the fourth and fifth photos is really tempura? I've been eating Japanese food for over 40 years, and I've never seen tempura like that before! The pork buns would be fine if they weren't fried. They completely ruined the four pieces of pork belly. They completely disrespected the four pieces of pork belly. The skin was so hard that it almost broke my tooth. Finally, the yuzu souffle for dessert was delicious. So the food rating is one star.If I haven't order the dessert, you wouldn't even have one star of the foodMr. Ramsay, You might as well go back to doing as your well known Western food, and don't waste your time on dishes you're not familiar with! I came here because of your name, but you've completely disappointed me. You've wasted my time and money. In the end, I went home and cooked my own instant noodles to fed me up.

Absolutely amazing. The building and the decor create a unique atmosphere, the food and drinks are delicious. We ordered the beef tataki, salt and pepper squid, JFC, cod, beef sirloin & egg fried rice. Would recommend everything and more. For dessert the chocolate tofu (nicer than it sounds) is the best. The staff are super helpful and take you through the menu & provide recommendations.Expensive meal out but definitely worth it for nice food and a great evening.

We visited mid afternoon . The service and staff are outstanding . We found the fixed menu pleasing and went on to order . The side salad was totally disappointing ( just a few pieces of lettuce ) and the baby chicken was so tiny it barely had anything left to be desired for . The sushi however was excellent. The wine prices are through the roof and I felt disappointed that’s a bottle of wine retailing at £17 in the shops cost £72 in the restaurant. You can’t beat the building .. the old bank on King street is stunning and the vault and the toilets are quite spectacular.I left feeling hungry .Not sure we will be back …..

A must go! I cannot put into words the amazing experience I’ve had at Lucky Cat Manchester - from the delicious food to the lovely people working there. I’ve tried many well-known Japanese restaurants, and no other restaurant beats Lucky Cat Manchester, I can guarantee! The food is simply A M A Z I N G so fresh and full of flavours, you can just not get enough, I could honestly dine there every night and not get tired. If you haven’t been, you must try! You will not be disappointed. I’ll come back soon :)

Big time fan of Gordon Ramsey and all his cooking shows so made a point to go to one of his restaurants, and I was not disappointed! The restaurant itself is really nicely decorated with high ceiling and nice ambiance music. On the food side we took the lunch menu which is an assortment of starters, one main dish and desert to choose between 3 choices. Every dish was consistent and really tastful, well presented as well. Shout out to the chocolat tofu desert that was an absolute killer. Small downside if I may: the service that started perfect was at the end pretty intrusive, checking every 5 min if we needed anything else... but overall great experience and do advice to try out!

Such an amazing experience here. The service was great and the food was fab. Serves smaller dishes for the table so you get to try a selection across the menu which is great. Good selection of cocktails, I had the margarita which was one of the best I've had anywhere. The building and atmosphere make this place feel special and well worth a visit.

The staff were really friendly and welcoming, from the gentleman that greeted us at the door, to Peter who served us throughout the evening. They all couldn’t do enough for us. Peter explained the menu thoroughly, which helped us to order the right amount of food. When the food arrived it was out of this world. We booked the table weeks ago and have been looking forward to the evening since, and it didn’t disappoint. It’s honestly one of the best experiences we’ve had at a restaurant and can’t wait to return.

We had a wonderful time at the Lucky Cat in Manchester. The food and service were first class. We were expecting good food and service, but it exceeded our expectations. The service was attentive but unobtrusive. The food was excellent. They were very careful to explain every dish and were very helpful as one of our party has a shellfish allergy.

Had a fantastic experience at lucky cat today, the level of service was attentive, knew the menu inside and out and answered any questions we had. The price is worth the level of food and service! Can’t forget the bar either, excellent cocktails.
