Patisserie Valerie - Lancaster

Food good. Staff don't know if their jobs are safe. Not a good time for them. New proprietors want to close another 30 odd more branches and they do not know if they are on the hit list or not.

We went to the Lancaster PV. The staff had no idea about the deal or the fact that it was even on Groupon. The app showed a saving from £25 to £19 (as Groupon does) and they firstly tried to charge us the extra. We had the iced drink deal and we were also told that iced drinks weren’t included. This was really very embarrassing considering there were quite a few people in the store. Not only this, the gentleman serving us wrote the code down incorrectly twice, so I eventually just gave him my mobile to to take the code down. All in all an embarrassing experience.

Ordered a selection of 12 slices for my sister’s end of exams on Friday for a Saturday pick-up.When my mum came to pick them up, not only they didn’t have any of the cakes but wanted to charge more for other cakes and never even offered a refund. They’re also supposed to email you if they’re gonna change your order and I never got anything. So my mum just ended up taking two smaller cakes instead.It was quite disappointing though because I selected those slices carefully for my sister and I think if you’re not gonna have something in stock, then don’t offer it on your website because that’s false advertising. The staff should’ve also at least offered a refund.I don’t think I’ll be ordering from them anything soon.

A very nice patisserie. The sweets are very nice and the food menu also. We had breakfast and several deserts and everything was very satisfying. Staff is really nice.

I redeemed a gift voucher for afternoon tea. The staff were really helpful and polite. The sandwiches, pastries, scones and cakes were all delicious. I will definitely re-visit.

Terrible service been twice and walked out second time got fed up of waiting when we asked said they were busy but there was staff standing round doing nothing and clearing tables instead of taking orders . Prices are ridiculous for what you get won't be going there again

Food was reasonably good but they had a very limited choice of vegetarian food.Service not particularly great. I wouldn't rush to go back.

Friendly staff! The birthday cake was delicious and beautiful!

Amazing cakes and really nice coffee. Much better than Starbucks or Nero. Although was a little wait but as more staff were around when we left I’m guessing they were on brakes. Even so was well worth the wait and was reasonably busy. Highly recommended.

Loved the special 'festive' afternoon tea. Cappuccino was also lovely..
