I can see how people could have a mixed experience here as you are fully dependant on how the cats are feeling and the behaviour of others. We had a good time on our recent visit but the place was quiet and there was children chasing the cats etc. Food service was pretty slow but you're there for an hour so there's no real rush?! Shame you couldn't get a plain cheese toastie as it sounds like they are bought in premade. Must visit for those who like cats! The prices seem fair, even the welfare fee, as the city centre rent must be high and there isn't a quick turnover of people.

I was really disappointed with my visit here. Staff don't seem bothered at all, waited a good half an hour before being served and then afternoon tea came 1 and half hours after ordering. Unacceptable really given that it was meant to be an hour slot, had to ask multiple times where it was. Cats were lovely but definitely weren't happy in their environment that's for sure. Over-hyped and over priced would not recommend at all.

Staff were really nice, they don't talk to you much but that was good to me. Food was good, not many options for vegans but we got past it. We had chunky wedges, skin on fries and falafel bites. Apple juice was very good. I see the welfare pay as very fair since the cafe is a rescue. Would recommend going on a train, bus or walking as there isn't much parking near It. The cats were very cute.Would definitely go again! 5 stars.

Was told i had been refunded for food when i asked for the receipt it had been lost. I have emailed them and had no response, and still no refund. My daughter has been wanting to come here for months, so I finally brought her, and to be honest, it was underwhelming. We were first met at the front of the house by a friendly young man. He explained how it works and asked us to read through rules and take us to our seat.At first, the cats were very timid and would not come near us, but that soon changed when we finally got our food!A young woman took out order within the first 10 minutes of being there. We ordered 2 paninis, a coffee, and a mock tail. However, the coffee machine wasn't working, so I changed to a water. 25 minutes later she returned to inform us that they had run out of ham n cheese so asked us to change our order, there want any other paninis that my daughter liked so opted for a bbq chicken pizza. I was asked if we could change like for like, but with my daughter not wanting another, she said the manager would come refund me, but I had to still pay for the pizza. When asked if I could just get a refund for the difference, I was told that the manager was too busy to come now, so I waited. It took a further 15 minutes, at which point my 8-year-old was starting to get really hungry. When the food finally came, so did the cats! Climbing onto the tables to get the food. There are cages to putting over your food, but the cats are wise! and learnt that they can simply get their paws underneath to tip it off. But my daughter was so happy because this was her first interaction with the cats. And let's face it, it's their home, and you're the guest. We're not surprised by the reaction of the cat. Of course, they are going to try to get food. That's what cats do.While we was there is was a bit manic, one poor mother was struggling to get attention of the staff after her little boy had been sick in the middle of the cafe so I alerted the staff and they did come clean it up quite quickly. After we'd eaten, I asked to refund again, and the women said I had already been refunded, but I had not, so she went to the manager to tell her so. Still no refund 10 minutes later I went t nthe desk the gentleman got a lady called Libby to help me. She was lovley and pleasant and told me that my refund would take 3-5days working days but when I asked if they needed my card they said that it wasn't and it will go into my account 3-5days working days. When I asked for the receipt, she informed me that it had been lost but not to worry it would go back in and to contact them if it didn't.I feel that it's a great cause to help a charity but the service is something to be discussed, the main reason for that it was understaffed, rules wasn't being followed and couldn't be managed along with service. The staff also looked very young and inexperienced to deal with a busy cafe environment, however they were very pleasant to talk to.I've emailed to inform them that it hasn't, and I've had no reply after 17days later.

It was ok. There were few cats and more people! The place was a bit too crowded with lots of people at a time. Also, too much furniture, it made it difficult to move around. There were so many colours in the cafe that made it far from cosy/ relaxing and very disorientating to me. I wouldn't visit again. I had classic table for £7 & had one flat white £2.95.

I recently visited the Kitty Cafe, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. As an reviewer who values brevity, I'll get straight to the point – this place is a solid 5/5!The atmosphere is wonderfully calming, with soft music playing in the background and a delightful aroma of freshly brewed coffee wafting through the air. The decor is tasteful and cat-themed, creating a cozy and inviting ambiance. Now, let's talk about the stars of the show – the cats! They are well-cared for, playful, and clearly adored by the staff. It's heartwarming to see these furry friends enjoying themselves and interacting with visitors. You can spend hours here, sipping on your coffee or tea while petting and playing with the resident kitties. Some of the standout cats I encountered during my visit were Jaffa, who was the first cat I saw, and they just chilled until I received my food, then they camped out underneath the table until I was finished. Patch was very chill but did try to sneakily nibble on my bag. Crinkle, although I only saw them at the end of my visit, was very cute and friendly.Dexter, on the other hand, loved playing but being a cat, immediately tried to give my hand a playful nibble. While I did meet more cats, I don't particularly have a strong opinion of them, as they all had their unique personalities. The menu is also offering a variety of delicious treats and beverages to satisfy your cravings. Whether you're a cat lover or simply looking for a unique cafe experience, Kitty Cafe is the place to be.In conclusion, if you're in the mood for a relaxing time in the company of adorable cats and good food, look no further. Kitty Cafe gets a solid 5/5 – it's a purrfect paradise for feline lovers!

When we attended on Sunday, 28th October 2023, they were clearly short staffed. The manager, Dan, was absolutely excellent at trying to steer the ship, but it was quite clearly a sinking one.People were not following the rules regarding the cats. The cats were chased, allowed to eat people's food, and bothered when they were trying to get out of the way. I hope this was due to short staffing and not how the staff usually look after them, as that smacks of negligence otherwise. It made being a person who actually wanted to follow the rules and see the cats basically have zero experience with them which, when paying £7 per person to get in and that being the draw of the place, was rather ridiculous. We booked for an hour (1600 - 1700), and although we ordered our food (Two pots of tea and one brownie) five minutes after we got there, we waited 35 mins for the tea and 50 mins for the brownie. The actual food was good quality, but we had to rush it. If we hadn't chased up the food, I doubt we ever would have received it, though.Definitely won't be going back unless they get more staff. It's quite a shame because the decor and layout of the place was actually rather relaxing if everything else wasn't so terrible.

Me and my partner visited this cat cafe for the first time and honestly it wasn't the best experience. The only good things about this place are the cats and hot chocolate. The cats we did manage to see at the time we went were adorable but I felt bad for them at the same time. I could see the cats been treated badly.First there was a woman wearing a t shirt saying wealth fare officer and I would love to know why she was wearing that when she kept taking cats away, she wouldn't let a specific two cats roam free. When they starting walking around she would pick them up and take them to near the toilets and I have no idea why.And then another woman that worked there I saw her stop a cat from going near the toilets (Even though there is a sign saying cats are allowed there) she sort of pushed the cat with her hand, it wasn't rough but still difficult to watch. Then there was an area near the couch that we looked at and we got told off" for looking there as it was a cats hiding area

Went here today with my mum I went 4 years ago but thought it would be nice to come back and take my mum as she's not been before. Not th best experience, the man on the front desk was absolutely lovely but once we were inside it was chaos really, cats jumping all over people's food, people letting them eat food off plates when the rules say don't feed cats, staff weren't bothered by this even when I told a member of staff about it! A little girl was upset because a cat scratched her, my mum nearly got bitten by a cat when she tried to stroke it, gently too, the cats were all shy and very scittish. Won't be going again unfortunately.
