Market Hall Car Park

Great place to park after 6pm (when it's £1). During the day it's much more expensive, sadly. Lots of parking spaces, two entrance and exits and centrally situated next to the market, town centre and University. Easy to pay, takes coins and cards. Not sure if there's security but I haven't any problems (fingers crossed).

Grubby car park but reasonably priced and in a good location. The use of the parking app makes things a bit easier. Good location. For the LB theatre.

It's a car park. Great place to park lol. No really the parking spaces could have a little more room between the lines. But in general mostly able to get a space for parking, remember to take it wide on the turn for rising to each level as it's tight, to say the least.

£1 after 6. £2.40 for 2 hours seem to remember. Can pay via card and phone but there is a 40p charge. Large car park, easy to find, well signposted.

Don't use the lift, whatever you do. We were trapped in it for 45 minutes and finally rescued by the Fire Service. The Kirklees representative on the scene didn't seem to give two hoots about our welfare, and was rather more concerned about damage to the lift by prying the doors open to rescue us. Terrifying. Forced to give a minimum 1 star to post this but would prefer to give none at all.

I use this car park more than any other in town. Just lately though it appears to be used more and more by university personnel which keeps it busy but to the extent that Jo public can't always find a space here resulting in fewer still shoppers in the town centre

Bring back coin operated machines. Not all of us want to pay by phone or card.even better can't we go back to getting a ticket on way in then paying at machine when you have finished what you needed to do in town without stress and worry of ticket running out.might help to get people to come into town some more and help shops recover

The Good:Convenient for access to the town centre and University.Relatively cheap for a town centre car park, particularly if you aren't staying long. (The pricing earned it the third star alone)The Bad:It's FILTHY, smells awful (urine/filth) and clearly little is done in the way of cleaning/maintenance. I avoid parking above ground floor when possible as stairways are horrible and stink. If I'm parking in Huddersfield late on an evening I avoid if possible as it doesn't feel safe.
