I've seen lots of YouTube videos on this place and lots of feedback. Took us 30 plus minutes to drive there and we spent 20 minutes there. The car park being empty on a Sunday should have given us the biggest clue. Absolute waste of time, there is nothing there. The cafe was shut as was the heritage centre. The bright room was an embarrassment, the pond on the map is bigger than the actual pond. Don't bother wasting your time here, unless you live local.

Really nice spot. Interesting historical remains of the mill that you can easily explore, in a lovely wooded valley. Good information boards to give you an idea of the history and what it would have looked like. Good paths and free parking. Really good place to start a walk from too as there are several footpaths heading off towards the hills.

Great place for a walk, jog and cycle. Has a few walking routes but be sure to stay away from the farm areas and private roads which are clearly visible. There are lots of horse riding activities that take place so please be mindful of them as there are tight roads. It has a small river connected to a slightly bigger river, just follow the road and you’ll find the walking routes.

Lovely site, some fascinating history about the 200+ year old former industrial site, from metal work, cottonmill, railway, quarry and coal mines. Little remains now but you can still see traces amongst the countryside. Well worth a wonder, typically quiet, peaceful and a few bits to see. Lovely area to walk the dog.
