I spent my works Christmas do here this evening and I was greeted by a lovely bar tender called Ben - I made sure to get his name as he went above and beyond to cater for me and my entourage and was extremely quick during the busy occasion I really enjoyed the mojito made. I will definitely be returning.

Harry's Bar Newcastle
Attended this venue last night. This was my second visit to Harry's Bar. My meal was good and l certainly enjoyed it. Sadly, a colleague who ordered the salmon found a 'hair' in her dish. This was brought to the attention of the waiter who was tending our table. The staff member who came to our table at the end of the meal (he described himself as the 'manager' of the waiter) was appalling. The hair was long and my colleague was an elderly lady whose hair was short in comparison. The 'manager' suggested that the hair may belong to 'her' - a rude and reprehensible comment but went on to say there is nothing l can do" some six or so times throughout the course of the conversation. Accidents and unwanted incidents occur. Alas

Best of all worlds.Selection.Quality.Service and Atmosphere.Went at noon for an hour or two and liked it so much I returned with colleagues later that day.Absolute top marks.Tempura king tiger prawns were legend.

This bar is ideal if you go as a big group, because ample space but really quiet for Saturday nights. Very welcoming staff at the door though, and decent priced drinks.

5 of us ate from the specials menu. Unfortunately Harry's seems to be using Tilapia as their fish on that menu (has been on my last couple of visits) and it's really not very nice. Apparently it's a generic name for nearly a hundred fresh water fish so who knows what you are eating. However everything else we ate was good. And the ice cream was delicious! Wine by the bottle not too bad a price but outrageous by the glass. Staff were smashing, as always.

Great place, very lively, crackin atmosphere. We pretty much spent all night in here.Drinks were great, music spot on. Although busy it wasn't a faff to get served, bar staff were excellent.Great bar
