We had Christmas dinner for 4 adults and 1 child and it was great. Our table had been decorated and looked lovely. The food was good and there was plenty of it. However the best thing was the staff who were fantastic. They truly made it into a lovely experience. Thanks to all of you.

Honestly, with the food you get what you paid for. Which is actually pretty good. The portions are large and the food tastes good, there are deals on everyday for meals so overall that was decent. The staff here were very friendly, giving me very local vibes, and the ordering/getting food but was easy. The store itself is tidy and clean and the atmosphere is more on the family friendly side.

Went for lunch Sunday 12pm. It's been a few years since we've been to this pub but the standards have dropped significantly.Signs of old leaks on the ceiling that haven't been repaired, wallpaper peeling off in the corner, sauce residue up the wall, faux leather bench seating and chairs worn out, could do with a full refit really but that doesn't excuse the state of the bathrooms.Looking at the images you can presume that the bathrooms haven't been checked from 7pm Saturday night until 12.30pm Sunday, the smell was not pleasant and there's a lot of mould build up under the hand dryers. We ordered using the app, when drinks where bought over we weren't offered or asked for a glass for a bottled drink. The glass of coke was filthy.Food came with no cutlery/napkins. When asked for cutlery we were told it was over there, after looking, not finding and asking at the bar I grabbed the cutlery which also looked dirty, there were no napkins to pick up. The food was disappointing, small portion for the kids, Baguette with salad" which was a joke even for £4.50.Clearly we won't be returning to this location. Much better at the Wollaton one."

The kids loved the Mac and cheese and the brownies but the beef and mushroom pie wasn't so good. But for the price,, definitely worth it! Very casual, great place to bring the kids. You must order at the bar which felt a bit weird.

Lovely location with plenty of outdoor seating. Only stopped for a coffee on a Sunday morning. The place was empty.I imagine it would be very appealing on a sunny weekend evening.

I have visited Water's Edge on numerous occasions, and I must say that overall, I have been quite satisfied with my experiences there. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a kind and friendly staff who always go the extra mile to ensure a pleasant visit. One of the standout qualities of Water's Edge is its excellent value for money. The prices are reasonable, and you truly get great bang for your buck. You can enjoy a delicious meal or a refreshing beverage without breaking the bank. However, I must admit that the overall quality of the place does have room for improvement. While the service and ambiance are fantastic, there are areas where the establishment falls a bit short. The food, although tasty, could benefit from a more refined touch and attention to detail. Similarly, some aspects of the venue could use a bit of sprucing up to enhance the overall aesthetic appeal. That being said, the aforementioned drawbacks should not deter anyone from visiting Water's Edge. The positives of this establishment far outweigh the negatives. It is a lovely place to spend time with friends or enjoy a peaceful moment alone. The scenic view of the water adds an extra dimension of tranquility, making it a great spot to unwind and relax. In conclusion, while there is room for improvement in terms of quality, I would still highly recommend Water's Edge. The friendly staff, affordable prices, and overall welcoming atmosphere make it a worthwhile visit. I have no doubt that with a few tweaks, it could become even more exceptional.

We were cyclists on our journey to Nottingham Christmas market and we stopped at Waters Edge for our evening snack. The staff were efficient and friendly. The catering department provided warm and enjoyable food. Andy, a staff member was very helpful in provided a safe and secure place for our cycles, as well as taking our order with efficiency and humour. To finish off with Christmas crackers was the icing on the cake. A top place to visit.....for its welcome and food. Well done Waters Edge!!

Andy, Tori and Kyle run a very good establishment here, very laid back and friendly atmosphere. Made very welcome and staff friendly and attentive. Very good value for money and the food was delicious. The pub is set next to the canal, so gives you someplace to walk your dinner off! Thanks to the guys here, you do a great job and no doubt will visit again soon.

There are a great many fine dining experiences in Nottingham and I can honestly say that the Waters Edge is not one of them. The first thing I noticed on arrival was that none of the four cask ales were available. We grabbed a menu while we joined the lengthy queue to order and were pleasantly surprised by the non-meat options available for my vegetarian wife. Unfortunately, when we made it to the bar, we were informed that all of them were unavailable other than the nut roast, so she reluctantly ordered that.We ordered soft drinks for the kids and weren't offered glasses, so we went back to the bar to get some. One of the glasses we were given had pink lipstick marks on it, which whilst a nice touch wasn't quite what we were after so we returned it for a clean one.We sat at our sticky table and waited 50 minutes for our food. When it arrived, the nut roast was overcooked and inedible. I ordered the Sunday roast with beef, with the beef being similarly overcooked - the two grey slices that I was presented with had a texture similar to my wife's leather handbag. The gravy had a thick skin on it and had clearly been sitting under a heat lamp for some time, and the carrots were from a tin. My son's burger was not too bad, but the promised onions rings and fries turned out to be one onion ring and fries, so presumably they were running out of onions, too.The staff were all nice enough, but the service is extremely slow and the food only just qualifies to be called as such. There are so many eateries in Nottingham that are vastly superior to this in every way, so I strongly recommend that you avoid at all costs.
