I was impressed with the offer Design and Development Associates present. A very thorough survey of our house and a useful chat through the possibilities and Daniel came back with a detailed initial drawing that was close to perfect.A few small revisions and we were on our way. His innate knowledge of what is required to get through planning and support with structural designs and planning control mean't we had no issues whatsoever and we were ready to go with the build.Covid got in our way a bit but now we are just about done and have the home we have wanted for many years.I have no hesitation in recommending Design and Development Associates and should we ever see another project in our lives, I would be going straight back to Daniel.I have posted before and after photos.

We needed to undertake a complete renovation of our lovely old cottage, located in a conservation area in Christchurch. It is a small house but we wanted to open it up, add a loft with a bedroom and bathroom upstairs, and generally introduce more natural light.Daniel Rainback at Design & Development Associates embraced our ideas and provided solutions that met all our objectives. He showed great design flair and a deep knowledge of the planning and permitting processes, which he navigated very successfully on our behalf. As the project evolved we wanted to make additional changes and he once more came up with the right design and secured the necessary permits in a timely fashion.Overall Daniel led our project through the concept, design and permitting stages, showing patience, skill and empathy as he listened to our ideas. He gave our house an innovative contemporary design while at the same time maintaining its intrinsic and charming character. His fees were most reasonable, his communication was excellent and at all times we felt completely informed of the progress of his work. He was a joy to work with. We would highly recommend his company’s services and use him again, without question, if we take on another project.

We recently had the pleasure of working with Daniel to design and submit plans for a large single storey extension and loft conversion with 2 bedrooms and 2 en-suits for our bungalow. At the initial consultation Daniel provided us with inspiration and ideas on how our kitchen/diner extension might look and fit in with the existing building. This gave us the confidence to go ahead with the project. The team produced detailed plans, tool care of the planning approval process for us and helped us with getting a structural engineer and building control inspector. The end result has exceeded our expectations.
