Ardrhu House Fort William

For a good note, the Staff was absolutely outstanding and the location and views of Ardrhu House are spectacular. However, the quality of the room and bed simply did not match the luxury prices charged. I am sad to give Ardrhu House this review, but based on our room and the quality of the bed itself I feel it is fair. We stayed at 3 other equally priced lodgings throughout our Scotland tour, and those accommodations far exceeded Ardrhu House. We booked one of the Garden rooms for the King sized bed. The room is located under the spa and hot tub and adjacent to heaters. The outside weather was cool, yet the room was extremely hot. The staff was very helpful and provided a portable air conditioner and a fan to cool the room. While it helped cool the room a bit, it still was not comfortable. The king sized bed itself needs to be replaced.The mattress had a large ridge in its middle and the side severely tilts down making for an uncomfortable night. The quality of the room and bed simply did not meet the luxury prices charged.Again, the Staff was excellent. These complaints need to be addressed by the owner.

We loved our stay at the Ardrhu house. The Inn was so quaint and we loved our stay here. The view is just incredible. You are right on the water and you have the mountains behind it. The staff was super accommodating and friendly. The food was delicious and had a very good variety. The grand room has a real wood fireplace with comfy furniture, board games, nice place to read a book and relax or sit around with friends and drink wine. Ardrhu house is very clean and this is coming from picky people about cleanliness. I would go back in a heart beat. Wish we stayed longer.

Had an amazing experience while at Ardhru house in late September. The view and surrounding area is stunning. We used it as a launching base for hiking in the surrounding areas which it was perfectly located for. The reserved dinner here was amazing, as was the provided morning breakfasts. The hot tub was fantastic after some long day hikes, and the rooms were very nicely decorated. Particular shout outs to Alex and Caitlin, the staff members there. They were incredible hosts and deserve all the praise we could offer.

We had wonderful one-night stay at Ardrhu House. The staff were incredibly friendly and service oriented (extra points for toasting our bread for us at breakfast!). The evening meal was excellent.A few small niggles:1 - The bathroom is not connected to the room - it is across the hall, which is slightly weird, especially at night.2- We were told the spa was fully booked, but we did not see anyone in there during the stay - might have misunderstood.3 - There are artificial flowers everywhere - not acceptable when you're trying to be a luxury hotel.

Our stay was remarkable, with charming and attentive hosts making the experience all the more enjoyable. The house itself is beautiful, boasting a cozy living area with a fireplace, and a dining room where breakfast is served under a lovely glass canopy. The breakfast offered is satisfactory, while the dinner at the onsite restaurant is of very high quality. The serene lakeside location adds a magical touch to the overall ambiance. Highly recommend for a peaceful retreat in the heart of Scotland.

The staff make this place. Really friendly, warm and welcoming. The team there works well together and were always happy to help if they could.We booked for a few days because of the way it looked on line and sure enough by the Loch and away from the traffic it is a beautiful and tranquil location. It isn't handy for anywhere though so getting out and about does require wheels. Theŕe is walking on the beach but it's not far until you come across private property with keep off signs, so its quite limited.We had a garden room because we had dogs. This had no view of the Loch but at least we could get the dogs in and out easily. The room itself was fairly small and the bathroom comparatively large. Clearly a lot of money had been spent on the decor and fittings but in many cases we were left asking why?"Tassels on lights in the bathroom? Shower product dispensers outside the footprint of the shower? There was also no TV in the room and we were told the only TV in the hotel didn't get BBC. Then when we tried to read at night

My partner and I got married in Glencoe and was so happy to be able to stay at Ardhru House during our trip. The place is beautiful, I love being next to the water and the food (breakfast and dinners) were delicious. There's lots of thoughtful, homely touches and I loved sitting next to the fireplace in the lounge after dinner. My parents also stayed with us and loved it too. Can't recommend it enough.

We stayed in the Empress room for one night and we were very impressed from the moment we arrived until our checkout. The staff was lovely in all ways, food was delicious and the room was very comfortable. We had a huge private bathroom and could use the spa exclusively for an additional charge. The house was beautifully decorated and offered a stunning view to the lake. As we were planning to leave early next morning, we asked for a breakfast bag to be prepared in advance. The staff gladly arranged our sandwiches, snacks and drinks the evening befire our depature and kept all in a portable fridge in our room. We could actually eat the food next day all day and not feel hungry. We were very pleased with the service.If you are looking for peace & quiet, this is the place to be.

Stunning situation overlooking a loch. Beautiful old house elegantly styled with a 1930s vibe. Very comfortable large rooms. Bathrooms aren’t en-suite but are private and just across the corridor. Surprisingly good food for both dinner and breakfast. Just a short scenic drive from Fort William .
