When you call a Cob a “bap” you already know it’s not local…. But when the cob comes out as a part baked roll…. Despite there being a fine bakery across the road… disappointed is an understatement. But the Lincolnshire sausage was delightful.The reason why I’ve given it 2 stars is because the service was absolutely dreadful. We turned up and were given no menus, and asked what we’d like to drink…. And we had to wait for the drinks to be brought over before being provided with a menu. Whilst the food was alright, I had to wait longer than it took me to eat to catch the serving staffs attention to ask for a bill… normally I don’t mind but with 2 children patience isn’t a luxury that is always afforded.I certainly won’t be returning in a heartbeat, and despite hearing good things about their ice creams, the fear of them melting over my hand before getting to pay for them is enough to put me off.

Hot drinks arrived promptly. Unfortunately the food took much longer. Consequently we'd finished our drinks by the time our meal arrived. Got a bit cramped with just a few customers. Food was tasty.

Wonderful hidden gem in Navenby, well worth a visit. Only a small building, but with indoor & outdoor seating. Excellent selection of good food, & delicious ice-cream, & both ladies who served us were absolutely lovely.

Stopped in for late breakfast on a Sunday, food was excellent boston sausage and nice bacon cooked just right,the waitress was very helpful and gave us time to order top quality cafe in a nice village

A varied and interesting menu, well-prepared and presented in a relaxing contemporary setting. It makes such a change also to have a flat white coffee that has the essential smooth and unbitter taste served at the correct temperature - get the coffee right and everything else will fall into place. As it did on our visit. The breakfast I took had decent local ingredients and tasted absolutely delicious. On my next visit I look forward to sampling the Croque Monsieur or maybe the tempura prawns. If you're in the area then take a break at Urban Kitchen (ironically placed in a beautiful rural setting close-by the ridge with its extensive views of the Lincolnshire plain westwards and the Viking Way).

Having rung earlier in the week to book a table we arrived to be told there wasn't a booking, we were fitted in but told we needed to be quick. Orders were taken some food arrived quickly others very slowly. Poached eggs and mushrooms on toast was just one slice, never seen this before so we explained 2 slices,eggs etc. Two of the group were served whilst another was waiting ages. Eventually everyone was fed and the staff removed the charge on the last toast/egg to make up for the disjointed service and long delay. Food is of a good standard and staff pleasant just a little disorganised.
