Sutton Veny House

My mother spent her last months very well cared-for at Sutton Veny Nursing Home. The staff were just outstanding; always respectful and genuinely caring. I am very grateful to every one of them.However, the owners need to carry out some refurbishment: the windows were in a very poor state, with peeling paint and exposed wood. The once-attractive front door is plastered with bossy notices and one of the window panes has been replaced by a plastic panel. The wooden frames need a lot of TLC. This makes for a very tatty appearance and undermines the excellent work of the staff.

My grandmother had been here for over 3 years now, the staff are always so friendly and helpful. Lots of smiles and chats when they come into her room and she says they look after her very well. I would highly recommend.

My mum has been at Sutton Veny House for 5 months now. We are both very happy. Although mum has dementia and has limited memory she always says how happy she is and how lovely the staff are which is really reassuring for me. When I visit the staff are amazing. I feel mum is very well looked after and mum knows she can press a button to get help when needed. Mum has also had a fantastic haircut here. There are lots of activities throughout the week for those who wish to participate. I couldn’t be happier with the care my mum receives. Thank you to all the staff and the new manager Maria, for your happy and caring attitude.

Good service

Nowhere is there perfection but here there was always an attempt to achieve it. I've been working in this place for five years. There were easy and less light moments, moments when the exhaustion and the desire for satisfaction of our residents went hand in hand but were overcome and shared by a wonderful collective. yes, I left for more money for those who wonder why I left if it was so good. All that matters in the end and that's why I can assure you, is that the residents they are provided with the best conditions and the attention, care and compassion offered by the staff is at the peak of this area of medical services. I've been to a lot of places of the same kind, and that's why what I say, I say from what I've seen and from experience. Thank you for all the experiences and beautiful things learned and lived in this wonderful place.

My mother has been in Sutton Veny for two weeks now. I cannot fault the care and attention from all the staff and the manager. From what I have seen, they go above and beyond. They are always kind and considerate and nothing is too much trouble. My mother has dementia and can be somewhat challenging at times, but this has been dealt with with kindness and professionalism. The house feels a very relaxed environment and the gardens are absolutely beautiful. Thank you to everyone who works in Sutton Veny nursing home, you are awesome!
