We decided to undertake a partial conversion of our garage to give us more office space at home and we approached EKJN to take us through the design, planning and building warrant processes.We looked at a couple of practices and we’re really pleased that we went with EKJN. From the very start, when lockdown was making many things uncertain, we knew exactly what to expect and Scott has made the whole experience very straightforward and hassle free. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them.

We have been very impressed and happy with the service provided by EKJN, Scott and Gavin are very professional and responsive, they deliver everything they promise, on time and on budget - refreshingly different from our previous experiences! They have also improved on our initial concept by taking our ideas and suggesting solutions we hadn’t even considered. I think they provide the kind of service demanded on much larger projects for small projects like ours.

I was originally introduced To EKJN through Urban Pods and Scott Wallace did the planning application for the pod in our garden. He did a very good job and so we used him again for a large dormer window project on our house. Scott came up with a great design and got it straight through planning for us with no hitches at all. Our experience with Scott has been excellent throughout both projects and I would highly recommend Scott and EKJN architects.

Since engaging EKJN Architects in August 2020 they have been fantastic. From early concept designs, incorporating our ideas and including many additional features, they have always been available to discuss any part of the project. Scott Wallace, who was our main architect and contact, was extremely helpful in giving us all of the relevant information and was happy to discuss any queries we had about the technical aspects of the drawings that he supplied. All of the costs were discussed up front so nothing was really too much of a surprise. We also wanted them to project manage the renovation which we are very glad we did as Scott was always on hand to discuss any concerns that the builder had relating to the drawings, material specifications and building regulations. EKJN has ben a very positive experience.

EKJN have been helping us to plan for our kitchen extension. We were keen to use a local architect and are so pleased to have found the team at EKJN. They have been incredibly professional, very responsive and always happy to answer our questions and support us on this journey. We really couldn't recommend their services highly enough, we'd have been lost without their advice and support, from initial design, through the planning and building warrant process, and in selecting and appointing a builder. Listening to the experiences that friends have had with other architect firms, we're so relieved that we haven't had to deal with any issues whatsoever and the whole experience has been very painless for us. The process has been very smooth and EKJN have been a pleasure to deal with.
