Fantastic location, tucked away in the Dorset countryside.Steve, the boss man, made us very welcomed. Room was good, ensuite, bed comfortable. Dining areas very busy which is a good sign and superb comments about the food. Good range of real ale. Dog freindly. Will certainly come back when in this region again. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful little gem of a place! The location is beautiful the rooms are lovely and the service is second to none! We were made to feel so welcome and the general warm small village atmosphere is very real here.If that wasn't enough for a fabulous stay then to say the food was deliciously sublime is an understatement. 100% worth a visit but honestly contact the landlord directly you will get a better deal!

My wife and I wanted to get away from Bridport to avoid the horrendously noisy Jurassic fields music" festival which has now moved even closer to my bungalow. We chose the Mitre inn in Sandford Orcas

Cycling past and decided to stop for a bite to eat. Really pleased we did, it was delicious and reasonably priced.Nice beer garden on a hilly garden behind the pub.
