Trivelles Waterhall Country Hotel
OK, had a smart tv, microwave, fridge, but that was not working. The toilet was broken. Needs updating, wouldn't go again. I was there for 3 nights from Lancashire to visit my sister in hospital. On my last night, the person in the next room to me was having a very loud conversation on the phone at 2.30am, and in the bathroom. I gave up trying to sleep and set off on my 5 hour journey home. Walls are paper thin!!Lovely grounds but in a bit of a scrubby state round the back, nowhere to sit outside if the weather is nice and the grass was long. Needed cutting as it shows on the pictures with the seats (what seats!!)

Booked via Booking. com about 2 months ahead. Offered the choice to pay in advance or on site. Opted for onsite. Was surprised to see that reception closed at 10pm. Sent email asking about late arrival in event of flight delay. Told no problem, given door code and told room key would be on desk. After delay, arrived 11.05pm, checked door code on phone and discovered new email sent 3 hours earlier saying that if we arrived after 11pm they would not be able to accommodate us! Very odd for a hotel near an airport! We managed to raise someone by ringing desk bell and were allowed to stay. Room was clean and comfortable but bed only 4 feet wide. Our room not on central heating, it was heated by 2kw fan heater with thermostat, fine for us but some people might not like the fan noise. Breakfast was entirely self-service, not a human in site! We ate alone in the conservatory. It was an adequate continental breakfast with a splendid view of planes on their final approach for landing. Aviation enthusiasts would love this feature. Our advice is to pay in advance or give it a miss! Location is in a quiet, peaceful spot. No aircraft disturbed our night.

Stayed due to a flight cancellation. Hotel had a very unpleasant metallic smell. Wax z bit stressed and askedwhere the bar is...nobar. asked if I could get snacks...no snacks. I Was given a superior room which had a small living room attached but no bathroom. I had to use a tiny bathroom in the corridor which had a really old shower. I turned the shower on and the force of the water was so powerful it knocked the shower head upwards and the water poured over the top of the door and soaked everything, me, my 1 towel, my pyjamas...and the light fitting above the sink, which had no cover on it. I was informed that breakfast was continental. I came down inthe morning and entered the breakfast room. I saw a couple of red apples in a bowl and several boxes of cereal, nothing else. Another guest informed me that there wasWhite bread, milk anda box of juice in the fridge. Obviously no croissants, jam or fresh coffee. Overall a very unpleasant stay. Never again

We booked this via booking .com, at the point of booking the site offered us the choice of a 1 am to 2 am check in, because we knew we arriving late as soon as we got the confirmation and telephone number we checked the hotel to make sure that it would not be a problem, they advised us that they cannot offer checkin after 11pm which for a hotel so close to Gatwick airport and with flights often delayed is appalling and the misleading ! This is a great example of a hotel that doesn't care, is misleading and has no customer service ! DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL

Trivelles Waterhall Country Hotel
Yes, you do hear the planes, however, apart from that, there is absolute quietness. I liked having the simple but cheap breakfast in the large eating room with a panoramic view out on flowers, lawn, trees, butterflies, sunshine and the blue, blue sky with planes comes by very closely every few minutes. It was very pleasant stay. I'd give 5 stars if the breakfast was a bit more sustainable with less plastic waste and if the hotel was a small, independent business rather than part of a chain.

Trivelles Waterhall Country Hotel
We stayed here for one night before our Gatwick flight. The check-in experience could have been better - the staff seemed a bit short with their customer service. The room itself was small, but considering the price, it was understandable. Unfortunately, the shower didn't look clean as there was leftover shower gel from the previous guest. The double bed we booked was a tight fit for both of us, making it uncomfortable to sleep. The fridge in the room wasn't cold at all, which was disappointing since I needed to refrigerate my insulin. The walls were thin, so we could hear everything happening around us and in the other rooms. The only positive thing was the location, as it was close to Purple Parking and Gatwick airport. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it, especially for couples or families. If you're staying alone, then it might be okay, but you might want to consider booking elsewhere.

The area is gorgeous. Building is cute. Service is good. Nothing was broken in the room per other reviews but maybe I got lucky. A good choice if you want to be close to the airport. There are only a couple places to eat in the area but it’s easy to get a cab. Better than I expected and good price so giving it 5

Trivelles Waterhall Country Hotel
Really appreciate the accommodation made for us when we were stuck early. Staff is very nice. The rooms dont feel small despite their size, and come with a TV+Netflix, desk, mini-fridge, basic toiletries, and microwave access. Everything worked, but keep in mind the water gets hot - keep the shower turned slightly to the cold side. Really like the blackout curtain for when we had to shift schedules and sleep early. Can hear airplanes but it’s quieter in the room and I personally don’t mind. I felt very safe leaving my things. Also the area is just gorgeous, lots of nature, and there are restaurants/pubs around (I suggest a cab/uber but they are cheap). There are local taxi services that are 24/7 which was helpful for a 5am flight and cheaper than Uber. There aren’t sidewalks really but we walked along the road. No comment on breakfast, we’re leaving too early. I would stay here again.
