The Canine Place

All morning I was calling place to place looking for the right trainer for my puppy when I came across The Canine Place! Right off the bat I noticed that the approach Sarah has towards training was different in the best possible way. Sarah stood to me because of the positivity that she radiates. I booked Sarah in for a session, we started at home, and then went out for pups first ever walk! I had a whole list of questions which Sarah went through, she shared her experiences and expertise, and we learnt lots of new things. To follow up the session Sarah sent me a detailed email, that covered everything we had been through, plus useful links and videos as well as the answers to each question I had/ what we had discussed. If you are looking for an amazing trainer with lots of experience and expertise Sarah is the one. We are so happy with our experience, thank you so much Sarah!!

Go down the positive 121 training route with the canine place and you will have an amazing relationship with your dog. We have a rescue who was unsocialized and the training support and advice we got has turned us around. We've seen our dogs decision making and coping skills change so much, no longer reactive, loose ish lead, engages with us loads. We understand him better and all through relationship, no force. Looking forward to doing some workshops in the future too.

Every new dog owner needs a Sarah in their lives!Initially we were looking for group dog training but when Sarah offered to do one-to-one training for us what a fantastic service we got!Sarah modelled her training techniques for us, and then gave us the opportunity to practice her techniques. She observed us and listened to our concerns, gave us further suggestions and let us practice until we saw her again. She is extremely well read and researched. She gave us follow ups to our sessions so that all suggestions are tailor made for our puppy. We now have a wonderful, well behaved puppy, but we are work in progress! We still look to Sarah for ongoing support, advice and encouragement.Sarah is a wonderful support and counsellor to dog owners and their dogs.She offers carefully and individually constructed advice and suggestions so that the dog and the dog owners overall package of support is unique.

The help Sarah gave me with my new puppy was tremendous. I have been to two of her group classes as well and she has given me such confidence in tackling any problems.

tried dog parkour last weekend - we all had a great time, despite the heat, and have some new activities to keep Smudge busy on walks. Highly recommended!

Highly recommend training with The Canine Place! We had three 1-1 sessions with Sarah to improve our dogs lead walking, focus and recall. Sarah really took the time to get to know us and carefully constructed a training plan. She was really calm and kind in her approach. Her advice was really clear and easy to understand, we saw improvements in our dogs behaviour straight away. She made us feel confident doing the training techniques she had taught us and communicated with us in-between sessions. Fantastic service!
