food was SO good, I had the curry goatwith rice and peas and plantain and Matthew kindly gave me a patty ! I haven’t had Caribbean food in a long time and this was just what I needed ! thank you vv much, will 100% be going again <3

I passed by for lunch and had the curry goat. It was absolutely delicious, the meat falling off the bone and a nice kick to the sauce. The owner was friendly and talked me through the options on the menu. Great food, generous portions and reasonably priced too. I’ll be back for sure!Update:I have now been back several times. Matteus always greets me with a smile and talks me through the menu. I haven't been disappointed yet. In fact, it seems to be getting better each and every time. I'll be returning until I've tasted everything on the menu! After that, I'll still be a regular!

Stopped at lunch time for the combo Jerk chicken curry goat and a heap of sides. Really really good food tender tasty and plentiful. Great staff cool chef definitely going back.

One of the best Jerk, Plantain and rice and peas I've ever had. (Don't tell Hanty Pearline!) Happy Birthday,big man. Beautiful food

Well I could honestly say that bigs dose the best Caribbean food within Essex Basildon area. I can also say big rating for Mr Bigz as iv been down to turtle Bay and people rate that, but I think to be honest, the standards are not great at all. The food was watery you could taste the herbs and spices in the food like as if you was eating the powder I would never ever go to Turtlebay again and I would never rate them. Mr Bigz is the one for his lovely Caribbean curry goat. I’ve also tried the stewed chicken as well as jerk, chicken and other items if he was running a restaurant that we could go to in the evenings, we would Defo be there thank you, Mr Bigz for bringing this to our town. Been using you from day dot you was there Mel and co love

Well, I didn’t have to fly 4700 miles again to experience truly authentic Jamaican cuisine! Just had to drive 20 minutes down the road.Curry goat - perfectly balanced and moreishJerk chicken - like being halfway back up the blue mountainsPatties - crisp and short balanced with soft and flavourfulPlantain, dumplings, Mac and cheese, rice and peas - absolutely perfect.Hot sauce - not for the faint hearted, nice spike of heat to compliment all the above.Go here, get fed, leave smiling.
