Else Memorials

Very poor customer service. I ordered a plaque but unwittingly included a spelling mistake. The plaque was produced and paid for. When I realised, I went back to Else Memorials and the first thing they said ‘did you sign it off’ – which I had. Relief on their side: I had to rebuy at full cost. It would have been nice for someone at their end to say ‘let’s just check this’ rather than just produce it wrongly. At all times they were fully within the letter of the law, but I question their morality and business ethics. It would have been appropriate to have the replacement plaque charged at a reduced cost reflecting my error in signing it off, and their lack of attention and care in not challenging it.
