Elaine Hammond | The Groomers Spotlight | My passion for dogs began at an early age with our family pets. Growing up near a loch in Scotland meant many long walks and muddy paws so brushing and grooming was always a regular feature! I began working with dogs in the mid 1980's in show kennels where I discovered a love for grooming. I then moved to London where I eventually managed a busy salon, gaining my C&G along the way in 1992. I took an extended break from commercial grooming to care for a family member and found I loved it just as much when I returned! I currently work on a 1-1 basis from my home and am very lucky to have a lovely relationship with my wonderful clients. I enjoy competing and attending shows/seminars as there is something new to learn everyday! I very much enjoy learning and also have a BA English & Creative Writing Hons (First Class). I am currently working towards the ICMG qualification.
