Barky Dog Squad has been absolutely amazing and has completely changed how we feel about having a reactive dog.We’ve had our Romanian rescue Bruce for two years and in that time have uncovered various issues he has with anxiety, reactivity, frustration and food. Being a part of Barky Dog Squad has not only given us access to Alyssa’s incredible wealth of knowledge and insight, but has brought us in to a community of people who understand us and know exactly what we’re going through.We’ve found amazing friendships and are part of a group who support each other, offer advice and are just there to listen or as a shoulder to cry on when we’re having a tough day.Having a reactive dog can be isolating, frustrating and confusing. There are so many days which have ended in tears or where you just feel lost and at the end of your tether, but it’s been a complete game changer having our regular catch ups with the group. We get to talk not just about our dogs but about ourselves, our concerns and fears, but also our goals and wins, and celebrate those big moments when things start to go right!We’ve gone from constant huge reactions and melt downs to having the confidence to manage Bruce through tricky situations, and are now seeing him make really positive choices around his triggers. We’re so much better equipped not just to deal with him, but to understand how he’s feeling and why, and cope with our own big feelings!We can’t recommend Barky Dog Squad enough - if you’re struggling with your dog then you couldn’t do any better than joining the group.We also work with Alyssa privately and she is completely amazing. We were at wits end with our dog Eddie last year. He was barking all the time, terrified of everything and we were struggling to make any progress. Since working with Alyssa we've been able to better understand Eddie and make some real progress. There's still more work to do but he's much more settled day to day and let's up sleep through the night. The Barky Dog Squad has been great for us, being able to connect with others dealing with similar problems helps us to feel like we're not alone.

My name is charlie and my dog is Cinnamon. She is dog reactive and can be a mix of scared or frustrated. She also has issues with being rude and pushy towards other dogs, she even had issues with overarousal when simply just leaving the house. This made me and my girlfriend so anxious to walk her, as well as frustrated because we didn’t understand why. We joined Barky Dog Squad to find a community that would understand us and our issues, as well as getting advice and tips for these issues and so much more. Working with alyssa and joining barky dog squad means we now feel much more understand and cinnamon is now even able to walk past other dogs and mostly stay calm, she doesn’t even bark when we leave the house anymore! I feel so much brighter about mine and cinnamons future, especially her career as an assistance dog. Barky Dog Squad has helped me to not give up hope with her and has even helped with so many of her behavioural issues, we all swap advice and help each other. It’s so nice having a community of people that just understands you and and your dog, we no longer feel alone and feel so much happier. Our bond has grown with cinnamon and she trusts us so much more. I feel like we can accomplish anything. I would highly encourage anyone who is thinking of signing up to do it, the help and support from everyone has been so beneficial for our mental health and Cinnamons. You can get so much help and advice from this community, you can rant about anything without the fear of being judged. It’s the most amazing community we’ve found!

Alyssa has a remarkable ability to listen (and we have a lot to say) and distill our experience into an exercise and within minutes show us how to manage our reactive dog in different situations. Our rescue parsons has quickly become more manageable and a pleasure. We will continue to seek her help in our journey and highly recommend her and her approach to anyone

My dog has made great progress since working with Alyssa. What differentiates Alyssa from others is that she has a very structured and logical approach, clear objectives for each dog and also encourages regular catch up to adjust the behaviour modification plan. She is also very knowledgeable in a number of subjects and collaborates with other experts on niche areas. Highly recommend!
