Bramford Lane Allotments

For the first time in many years, this allotment field has a waiting list for lets! Wow. This is the largest unitary field in Ipswich, so not only do we have lots of plots (full and half), we have significant green space, which is being developed to encourage wildlife and wildflower habitats. The new Committee has worked hard to make the field a friendly environment, hence the popularity. The field has also worked to engage with the local community, although Covid-19 has prevented open days this year. However, there is a Facebook page and group, to improve community engagement and communication. There are plans for further improvements for 2021, but on hold due to the pandemic. The field has a good mix of people and many different gardening styles and interests. This allotment field has services to support plot holders; shop, tea hut, toilets, free supply of bark chippings and occasionally some muck. This is a lovely allotment field.

Good on a hot day, the lake is a nice way too cool down and have a bit of fun.
