Only been a couple of times at lunch time but food has been good. Cowboy Special, jumbo sausage, battered burger, sauce (curry, gravy etc.) and chips for £5.50. Ask for your sauce to be in a separate tub and it'll cost you an extra £1. Fish bites are really nice, and I imagine the fish will be too. At other chippies, the food can sometimes be greasy, not left to drain long enough, but not here, spot on.Never experienced the poor service that some of the other reviews have commented on, the staff have always been really pleasant.

Best fish and chips in Stanley by a mile. The queue outside on a Friday teatime is a telltale sign. Outstanding.

Had fish and chips here for the first time and it was delicious, also had the mushy peas which were great, partner had sausage and chips, sausage was a little greasy and the curry sauce was not to our taste, but the fish,chips and mushy peas were an absolute winner.All good value for money

Best chippy around. We always buy the lite-bite meals and they're lush and a perfect size. Garlic sauce is lovely too!

Worst chippy I've ever been to under cooked chips. peas were hard an I've seen better dog sick than this fish cake. Waist of time waiting for it an a bigger waist of money buying it .staff utterly ignorant. The picture shows the best place for that food
