We stayed here for 4 nights while on a first aid course and walking in Snowdonia with our 2 dogsThe rooms are comfortable clean and have everything you need. Small touches such as a decent kettle, plenty of tea coffee milk and hot chocolate which are replenished daily and the room remade up each day and cleaned impeccablyAll the staff are friendly helpful and kind. The breakfast is great with free tea coffee juices and then you chose from a menu so if you want a full breakfast you can or if not a lovely bowl of porridge or perfectly cooked poached eggsI can not fault this place , great value for money and we will definitely stay again when we come back.

Perfect for a few days winter walking, or a ML course in my case. Cosy pub downstairs with decent food and fires, standard rooms upstairs, nothing special but warm and plenty of hot water, a kettle, charging sockets, all you need. Staff were lovely and made me feel welcome.

The beer is very good but the main bar-restaurant was not very warm my wife's dinners okay, I had salmon which was over cooked and little to no flavour. The barman is one of the most miserable man I have ever come across , couldn't smile very straight face and he found it very difficult to put 2 words together and the barmaid unfortunately wasn't much better. I was in the Tyn-y-Coed this time last year with great staff and it was also war.

Amazingly relaxing time and a pleasure to meet the Tyn-y-Coed staff - nothing was too much trouble throughout our stay. The food and drink choices were exceptional and the log fire was a perfect backdrop to the bar and lounge. And best of all, the location is stunning and a perfect base for our trip. We'll be back for sure.

I wasn't staying here and only came in for food, I had the steak and ale pie. I've never had such a good pie, it was huge! Every bit of it was amazing. The pub itself was very warm and welcoming this goes to the staff aswell, they were on hand ready to deliver an amazing service. I can not recommend this place enough!

The staff here are fantastic! Super friendly and down to earth, and keen to help us have a great time, especially if you show them kindness in return. Friend and I were staying nearby in a van, not in the hotel. Over two nights we stopped by for a meal (first night) and few drinks (first and second night), as well as cups of tea in the morning. Staff were always very welcoming and advised us on some good places to visit that most people don’t think of when we asked. They made us feel right at home. 10/10 service in a fantastic location! Thank you!

We ate here two nights in a row. Gluten free friendly, I am coeliac and had plenty of options and gluten free bread to go with the sharing melted cheese! Amazing!! INCREDIBLE food, and friendly, lovely service. Cannot fault it. The meat in particular was so tender and yummy! All local products and traditional menu. We came on a Saturday, to eat from the usual menu and Sunday for Sunday roast, both incredible. Amazing Sunday roast. And board games to keep the whole family entertained! Be sure to book ahead! This should definitely be on your list of things to do on your trip to Snowdonia. Rated pub of the year for a reason.

Really decent pub. My seven year old son and I popped in before setting up camp and were welcomed. We played pool 50p per game and had a few drinks. Food was really decent, kids menu better than average, and I had a good burger with decent skin on chips. Staff were helpful, people were nice and we had a good few hours here. Didn’t see or stay in rooms.

We stayed in room 7 for 1 night, the room was spotlessly clean and the bed really comfortable.Plenty of drawer/cupboard space to put your things. Bathroom was a good size and also spotless. 2 chairs in the room so you didn’t have to sit on the bed, which is a rareity in some places. We did have a small issue with the room next door, as they had left their dog in the room and it was barking as it was alone. We understand it’s a dog friendly hotel but you shouldn’t leave your dog to be a nuisance to others.Popped down to reception, didn’t want to be a ‘Karen’ but the reception staff did resolve it pretty quickly. The one thing that you should change is the way that a tab can be opened against your room, someone ran up a bar tab on our room number so was presented with a bill before we checked out. Again staff resolved this, a big thumbs up to them.Staff were lovely, very friendly and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.Location is great if you’re heading to Snowdon or to the Ogwen Valley, it’s practically on the doorstep.Looking forward to future stays. Thanks Jay and Zoe
