As an M&S Bank card holder, it makes sense to get currency here. I never give one star reviews but this should be zero, for the worst customer service that I can ever remember!I arrived with one customer being “served”; albeit by a trainee and his supervisor. No one else was waiting so I assumed I wouldn’t be long. Wrong assumption! Don’t get me wrong - everyone needs to learn - but maybe not during people’s lunch breaks when no one else is serving.After an age it was my turn to be served by the supervisor - now with another three people queuing behind me. She couldn’t log in as someone else “hadn’t logged out properly”. Then the trainee, with his login and password details on a piece of paper in front of me, locked himself out. So then they called the previous staff member to log herself out “properly”.When she returned she was clearly annoyed and barged past me (physically) - twice - then got into an argument (in my ear shot) with the other supervisor.I eventually got my currency - after at least 30 minutes waiting. Goodness knows how long the other customers had to wait. At least one was a “simple” click & collect.Really unprofessional service and only the slightest hint of an apology - but blaming others and “systems” - no collective responsibility. Arguing publicly in front of customers and barging them out of the way can never be acceptable!Sharpen up M&S - the high street is dying - service like this doesn’t cut it!

Avoid at all costs!When I arrived there was only one lady in the queue in front of me. It took ten minutes to serve her even though she had done click and collect. I could see the lady getting more and more frustrated at the very slow service.Unfortunately M&S has hired someone who isn’t a native English speaker at the FX desk and the lady had to repeat everything two or three times. She was very frustrated by the time she left.When it was my turn to be served, I asked for $3000 to last through a holiday. At which the M&S FX employee shouted “That’s too much - I can’t do that. I’ll have to get the manager.”Then she shouted across the whole shop floor to a colleague to ask where the manager is “because ‘they’ (me) want to get exchange $3000”. This was unprofessional, embarrassing and quite frankly rude. She then proceeded to say that it would take a very long time to do all the paperwork! She came across as rude, lazy and offensive.So I complained to the manager, left and simply went to the post office where they were polite, discreet and quick.M&S needs to make sure people like this aren’t customer facing... What has happened to their standards? I won’t go back while they have employees like this.Avoid if you can!
