Beachy Head West Car Park
Visited Beachy head Eastbourne. Amazing views looking into the sea horizon and vast openess. You can park 3-5 minutes away from the cliffs and do the walks. Parking is free after 6pm. Wanted to see the sunset but it became too windy and cold for everyone towards the end. So visit on a day when the temperature is near 20⁰C. Anything below that becomes uncomfortable, with the wind. You can also take camping or beach wind shields/breakers to minimise the sea breeze. Will visit again when it get warmer.

Beachy Head West Car Park
Well used car park and it can be very busy .beachy head (beau chef) beautiful handland . A great place to walk from to birling gap and back and enjoy a drink or meal at the beachy head hotel or the cafe at birling. There a sad place on the cliffs nearby is where its fenced off to stop you from getting to near the edge with its flowers on this fence and some have ended there lives.

The car park fills up pretty quickly during the tourist season. You can pay at the pay and display totem or inside the gift shop. There is some free parking along the road but you have to get there early

Beachy Head West Car Park
Beautiful views from this car park and ideally situated for ease to get to see Beachy head cliffs and light house, always plenty of room to park and not a too busy road but I'd advise to always keep dogs on a lead

The UK is actually the only country that puts a parking meter at every vantage point. And it only accepts coins. Super annoying. If you don't have one with you on this route, you're lost.

Beachy Head West Car Park
For those just wanting to see the lighthouse, the nearest road-side car-park was found closed in 2023 (the car in the photo is a security vehicle). According to the gift-shop/ice-cream seller by Belle Tout, there have been a lot of suicides by people driving off the cliff from the easy access by the carpark :-( The nearest now is Beach Head West Car Park - ironically 300 yards EAST!

I have been living back in the UK for the last 2 years and beachy Head is hands down, so far, my happy place. Absolutly beautiful scenery on a nice day when sat on the edge of the cliff. Love going down there to get a break away from London
