We went in for a quick birthday breakfast at 9am. There were a few people in the pub, but it was deathly silent. The lady behind the bar was polite, and the food was hot, but one of the coffee machines was turned off, and the other one was running low on coffee & it tasted very bitter. Loved the option of having mango chutney with our breakfast next to the ketchup. To try and liven up the mood I asked the bar lady if she could put one of the TVs on, so everyone in there didn’t have to stare blankly at the beige walls. She had to go and ask the manager, who advised they couldn’t turn it on as they were “saving on electricity”. It didn’t seem to bother them that they had all the marketing TVs, the row of fruit machines & enough lights to power a small village on though…

Great atmosphere, but today the food was shocking..not sure If the chef was having a bad day, but on this occasion it was terrible. Eggs was over cooked, hash browns was overloaded with grease. I was served 1 less quorn sausage and no mushrooms which was on the menu, I asked for this to be added to my breakfast which they did....Meals in the past have been good. So this is based on today's experience

Service was OK but the food was shocking, I had the large mixed grill and it's the worst mixed grill I've ever had. The steak was so thin it had no choice but to be well done and the onion rings just crumbled when you tried picking them up.The atmosphere was also very bad, there was multiple groups of students, which I have no issue with but they were very loud and volatile towards each other and the staff just left them alone and unchecked.Even the bouncer/security just looked at them and smiled. My first and last visit to this place.

Ordered a toasted bacon sandwich, person taking the order did not say that they didn't do toasted sandwiches. A bacon sandwich was delivered to my table....when questioned regarding the toast it transpires that although they do toast it is too difficult to add bacon. Not a good experience.

One of the worst burgers I’ve ever had and although I was not expecting much for 5 quid and it being a Wetherspoons, it still was laughably bad.

In the centre of Nottingham, 2 bars, one downstairs one upstairs. Real ale, lagers, wine and sports. No parking available. It was quiet when we visited.Cheap beer, £1.77 a pint!! (Oct 2023) in the centre of Nottingham!!Typical spoons food, vegan and of options available.

Sat upstairs looking over the Old Market Square. Good views up here. Normal good Wetherspoons service and prices. Downstairs tends to be quite full with drinkers near the front eater towards the back. I prefer upstairs near a window.

My party of 6 (4 adults 2 children) had a main meal, drink, and dessert. All in all the bill was just over £60. The food and drink were very good for the price. The service was what stood out for us and was above and beyond what we expected. Absolutely fantastic.

Ordered a small breakfast, egg hardly warm same as sausage and bacon the beans were yet again for 3rd time of eating breakfast here Iv had cold beans, knowing no way have they been heated up. Plate cold also didn’t help. That its now for me 3 strike & out. Not eating here again. Whoever cooks Friday obviously doesn’t give two hoots.

The service was terrible. It's not acceptable to order burgers and dessert-serve later and then have the dessert served first. I told the girl that we wanted our burgers first and asked her to take the dessert away. After we finished our burgers, we waited 10 minutes for the dessert. Eventually, we had to go to the bar to cancel the order. Both women were very negative. I will never go to this place again.
