Dorchester Mini Centre

I would recommend that nobody takes their car to this garage. I foolishly trusted them to carry out what is considered a simple job of fitting an Auxiliary belt on my Volvo V70. After fitting the belt 3 weeks later it came off causing my wife to hit the curb (lost power steering) belt had frayed!!! They tried to just order another belt but after being pursuaded they changed the adjuster bits of Aux belt left around engine caused cam belt to jump causing £4000 damage new cylinder head required. 9 weeks on with no car and not heard a thing. BE WARNED

I took my mini to the Mini Dorchester Centre and booked in with Mike. He was helpful and friendly. I was provided with a great loan car as I drove off leaving my mini which I knew would be in safe hands. I found Mike on google after discovering that my 2016 plate mini required an IT upgrade and Mike was able to obtain the software to resolve. However, unfortunately it uncovered larger issues with my mini and resulted in me having to contact the main dealership. However, I felt confident and in safe hands with Mike expertise and knowledge. He supported me by sending videos and photos with the description of the issue. Throughout was helpful and understanding to my situation. I ended up getting rid of my mini not down to Mike but due to the poor manufacturing issues that arose, I still have outstanding complaints with Mini direct, but I am so thankful I had Mike on my side so I understand the issues with the vehicle as the local dealership is awful! Having found Mike and the Mini Dorchester Centre through google my first encounter was outstanding service and I would highly recommend to anyone without a shadow of a doubt. Mike Watts from Dorchester Mini Centre - what a top man! I wanted a 12G295 cylinder head refurbished and after a lot of problems with the head I'd bought, Mike stepped in and did an exchange for me for a stock 295, which he then organised to be refurbed by AC Dodd In Salisbury. I couldn't be happier - I picked up the head today, and it's an absolute work of art - I can't wait to get it bolted in! Absolutely first class and faultless service, great communication, and great prices. I'd have absolutely no hesitation in asking Mike for further help with my classic mini. After slashing open a tyre on one of Poundbury's excessively sharp curbs they collected the vehicle, fitted a new tyre and had it back to me later that day.I have also had the garage carry out a full year 4 service & MOT which was vastly cheaper than the local Peugeot dealership and fit a new steering wheel. Again all collected and returned same day.Overall great pricing & service. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone regardless of vehicle.

Small and friendly local car service that specialises in minis. I have been taking my mini there ever since moving to the area and the father and son team are very professional, I would rather spend my money on a local business rather than a larger chain.
