Staff on the shopfloor are very helpful, don't bother with the customer service, it's appalling at best. No logic is applied and no help is given when needed. If they stop using DPD and updated the delivery slots onli e to match there own policy before trying to issue penalty charges, it would improve customer service.

Absolutely amazing customer service and products , I suggest you go to viewing then you can see the product for yourself - on viewing friendly, tall dark, handsome man with beard in a black t-shirt , was so helpful even lifted me a box down so I could check out the items.I ended up buying said items and all worked fine :) have bought many items after viewing all have been brilliant!!!Will go to view again all the staff in sale room 69& 70 are all friendly and helpful , what a great team !!

I'm really mad at John Pye Auctions. They show you nice pictures but their descriptions leave out crucial details. Bought something you thought was complete? Surprise, it's missing half the parts. They do this on purpose and then shrug it off, saying you should have done a viewing. It feels like they're playing tricks just to dump junk. Be careful if you're buying from them. Don’t get fooled by the shiny pictures and misleading words.

They only sell rubbish... everything I bought from them was broken or damaged... even they didn't specify this and they done the pictures to look that they are ok... DEFINITELY DON'T BUY FROM DERBY JOHN PYE AUCTION

Staff are bloody miserable, especially one chap called ‘Baz’. Said hello in a friendly way when I stepped up to give my collection invoice and just ignored me. Shoved a piece of paper across the table and drew a cross where he wanted me to sign. Not even capable of asking for a signature seemingly…Let me drive away with an item missing. Took me a while to get out the car park but clearly couldn’t be arsed to walk five metres to tell me I’d forgotten an item, instead let me drive 2.5 hours home to discover it. All that and they have my phone number…Edit: customer services were fantastic and very empathetic and took care of everything. Fair play. Exceeded my expectations so changing to a 4 stars.

Bought a pair of new" jeans from the Derby warehouse. Jeans arrived soaking wet inside the bag and covered in mould. Absolutely disgusting. Response from auction house "not our problem" - shameful!"

My experience with John Pie was highly disappointing. I purchased two TVs from them, only to discover upon collection that both had broken screens. It's evident that John Pie misleads customers about the quality of their products.To make matters worse, they charged an exorbitant £85 for delivery on each TV, this is unjustifiable fee .When I raised the issue with John Pie, they were unhelpful and dismissive, showing no interest in resolving the problem.Overall, I strongly advise against purchasing from John Pie. Their deceptive practices, sale of broken items, and excessive delivery charges highlight their lack of professionalism and customer care. Look elsewhere for reputable sellers that prioritise customer satisfaction and offer reliable products.

I've bought a several items from JP Auctions and I have to say I'm really impressed with the goods (a bike, tracksuit, and a pair of sketchers to mention a few). All the items were brand new - although this obviously varies dependent on the type of auction and the individual lot! All of the items were delivered by courier, and once you're registered you are continually updated with everything you'd want to know - if you're the highest bidder, if that changes, when your items are being sent etc. I think one of their strengths is good communication, even when the item leaves the auction house and is with the courier, you are always kept in the loop. Just be mindful of the t's and c's and make sure you have a read so your not disappointed - just things like damage in transit and unless specifically stated on the lot don't think your getting a brand new computer for example, because some are retailer returns. Overall a 5* from me..

Bought 2 items from John pye derby. Filled in everything for delivery and paid for delivery but it had a host error still charged my for delivery. But was having emails for pick up only. So I called. First person I talked to could see we had paid to much indicating we paid for delivery. But was still insisting we pick it up it’s a 4 hour drive that’s why I wanted delivery. Talked to the manager said he will sent it out on Tuesday 23rd aug. It’s been 10 days since. Called yesterday they said dpd had picked it up on the 26th and will be there today or tomorrow but the boy on the phone gave me nothing but attitude so wasn’t happy about it. Called back again today and the women on the phone said both items are still in the wear house waiting for us to pick them up. So the manager and the boy had lied to me. And they say it’ll be picked up be dpd by Monday so we will have to wait another week for my stuff even tho I bought them for the weekend just gone and when I did I bought them with plenty enough time for them to be delivered. Complete disrespect and disregard to the customer.
