Amazing personal service from the owner Sandie and associate Leah. Went the extra mile to source a wedding gift for me and came up trumps! Posted the item direct to me in Essex in time for the wedding gift. Highly recommended. 5 stars *****

Excellent service, nothing too much trouble and my husband and I only popped in on the fly as he liked a suit in the window and just wanted to buy it. Like you do. Tonight was exceptional and most welcoming. We had a lovely conversation. We highly recommend.

Just editing my review in response to the reply. The store is only under new managment in name, I imagine because they have had so many issues. I am not the only one who has had to resort to the courts. The same people run the shop. Avoid.I would advise anybody who is looking for their wedding dress to avoid this boutique. I ordered a dress from here last year for my wedding this November and it was an absolute nightmare. Basic services were not carried out by the store resulting in the dress not being fit for purpose, which the owner has admitted fault for. Almost every communication and contact I had with the store was extremely unproffesional - when I could finally get a response I would be given conflicting information. They even had the audacity to make comments about my weight and size to other customers. Buying your wedding dress should be an exciting experience - for a company called 'Style & Joy' they certainly know how to ruin a brides Joy.I am now having to take this store to court over the refund which was agreed months ago, and I am still yet to receive.

Everything about my appointment here was fabulous. Sandie was incredible and talked me through different dress options and advised me what would be best for our wedding day, loved it so much I came home with two! One perfect for the day and a fabulous shorter one for an evening of dancing! ❤️

Just avoid this dismal excuse of a company!! If you want your wedding day to be a success go elsewhere. Lot of bad press in the papers and online via EDP unfortunately the owner Sandie chivers is a con artist taking people's hard earned money and deposits. Then making all excuses you can think off to avoid you and never deliver. Such a shameful disgrace avoid avoid.

Booked a bridal appointment with style and joy after seeing them at the Titchwell Manor wedding fayre. They really were approachable and made me feel at ease. My first and second appointment was with someone who has since left and she was very patient and I did find my dress after trying different styles on. The rest of my appointments were with Sandi and Manda they were lovely making sure I had everything I needed and that my dress fit perfectly (Mandy is a perfectionist). I also got my little girls flower girl dress from the shop.My little girl absolutely loved Sandi and Sandi was brilliant with my little girl. Manda also came out the night before my wedding to steam my dress to make sure it looked perfect for our big day. The only small problem I had was my veil wasn't delivered on time but Sandi was always on the phone sorting it out and kept me updated. I would 100% recommend to anyone who has a prom/wedding come up to go here the service is brilliant and they really do go out of their way for you.

Fantastic service, excellent customer after care. Cannot fault a single thing, other than the designer’s measurements, which is no fault of style and joy. They sent the correct measurements. Unfortunately the designers always make a huge mistake when sending out plus size dresses (make assumptions that plus size women have oversized busts). This cost me an extra £75.00 which style and joy are trying to claim back for me and went above and beyond to try and rectify for me by sourcing a tailor that could sort the issue out over night. Despite being met with local hate by our towns seamstress. Style and joy managed to source someone from over 45minutes away and they collected and delivered directly to my home. The local seamstress was so unprofessional rude and condescending towards someone in dire need. It was my mothers last wish to be married before dying of terminal cancer. Therefore I am now boycotting the local seamstress if Fakenham for their unprofessionalism and absolute rudeness, for their unwarranted hatred. Style and joy went above and beyond the call of duty, to help full-fill mine and my mothers wish. For that I will be eternally grateful and should I need a formal outfit again I will be back!

Terrible experience, We would not recommend style and joy to anyone. They turned up 6 hours late to deliver 13 tables and 100 chairs and only turned up with 10 tables and 7 chairs which meant on the day before our wedding we had to hire more tables and chairs from a different supplier. Sandie is a very difficult person to get in contact with when you start to have issues.

1 star because I cannot leave zero stars. Most awful experience of buying my wedding dress. Had to change my original chosen dress, although no clear explanation given as to why, then the new dress was late and ill fitting - was ordered a few sizes bigger than I was originally told was needed. Very little in the way of updates on those situations unless I contacted them first, I actually ended up contacting the designer directly to try and get some answers. Many lies were told by Sandy and her team which made everything so much worse. The seamstress originally working there left so they bought in an emergency seamstress who did her best but the dress needed to be taken in by at least 3 sizes and cost me an additional £300. On the big day I felt uncomfortable in the dress and never felt like it fitted correctly. I have no words to describe how disappointed I was with the whole experience, something that should have been exciting and magical ended up being very, very stressful and upsetting. Avoid, avoid, avoid... **** I cannot add a response to the owner's response but suffice to say more inaccuracies, Sandie Chivers - why were you not aware my second choice of dress was actually ordered one month after I picked it when my husband and I visited the shop to discuss our concerns? Why was I told it would be ordered in one size and it was ordered in another? I did not lose any weight prior to my wedding, I was very careful not to as I did not want the dress altered anymore than needed. You also told me that the dress I chose was the same cost as my original choice so where has £150 come from suddenly? There was no payment plan agreed, I paid for the remainder of the dress when I came in for the final fitting as I was asked to. I paid the seamstress directly as that is what she told me I needed to do once she had completed the work. I spoke to you many times about how unhappy and stressed I was about the situation and even when my husband and I visited the shop to discuss it we were not reassured. I even got to the point that I was talking to someone at Maggie Sottero about my dress. Again another lie - you told me and my sister that you were talking to someone at Maggie Sottero on my behalf (you gave me their name) and when I spoke to Maggie Sottero they confirmed you had not spoken to anyone there that day. What I don't understand is the lies, if you have made a mistake be honest and upfront that way it can be dealt with.
