Asda Ipswich Superstore

Extremely poor selection. Shelves and freezer departments always empty! Poor management of stock! Freezer compartment appear always broken.

I don't visit this branch of ASDA in Ipswich often (it's probably a few years ago since the last time), but being in the area and passing by, my wife suggested we get some chicken that our daughter asked us to get for her. This was not a pleasurable experience at all.Whilst my wife went in search of the meat, I took the opportunity to visit the toilet. It was disgusting. I used a cubicle, the WC was full of toilet paper and yellow water. There was a sea of urine on the floor which stank. I tried to flush the toilet which permitted a dribble of water into the pan. In all seriousness, this is a health hazard.Everything was grubby, and the press down taps give you just enough water to soap your hands and then shuts off the water as you place hands underneath them! I couldn't get out of there quick enough. I would have taken some photos but it was too gross for publication.I found my wife who had just purchased some chicken breasts, walking away from the checkout she noticed a hole in the plastic packaging. We went to the customer service desk who asked us to get another. While my wife went off to get another (note: no staff to help with this), I realised the customer service area also looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since my last visit a few years ago.As we left the store my wife commented that she wouldn’t go back in there as everything looked tired and grubby.The final joke was the car park. I had forgotten how ridiculous the layout of it is.We won’t be going there again - ever.

A nice large store with plenty of choice. Probably one of the largest around and the parking is for 3 hours so plenty of time to shop and look around at the other shops too

I visit Asda a lot as I pass it on the way to my mum. I arrived here today, just before closing, only needdd a refund. When I queried whether I would be allowed in as it was near closing a very charming man on the door said of course I could pop in. Unfortunately, the person on refunds customer service was one of the rudest people I've ever met. He gave me daggers and said I can't serve you it's 4 o'clock and I want to go home". I told him that I'd been given permission by the gentleman on the door and he said "I don't care I'm not serving you". Luckily

I have been at Asda today, I was very upset due to false advertisement of Starbucks Skinny Late, the price stated £1 which was my budget for the day and all I had in my pocket, I’m shocked as when I went to the till it came up as £1.25????? I had to go to my friend asking for help and the lady’s at the till weren’t very understanding of my situation.J

The shift leader on tills called Chenice or whatever her name is a racist and a homopbobe. 23 years of loyal shopping at Asda spending half a grand a month minimum, especially during these times clearly means nothing to them. Cool. No problem, we will never step foot in another Asda store again.

Chris the delivery driver who throws the food at you with haste and sarcasm, what an attitude problem! “Are the pies your returning in here are they”? As he holds out an empty basket, what an absolute loose cannon this guy is #Tescos and Morrisons from now on..

Freshly made pizza must be joking, frozen/premade bases, dry toppings, no taste at all, the 2 people making the pizza couldn't even put barcodes on. I had to wait for the till staff to go and get the barcodes, the new ordering system is a waste of time and takes much longer then the old way, even heard one of the staff say they have no large pizza bases to be cooked in store despite clearly having large bases in her hand. Also the lack of customer service is beyond belief most of the staff are rude andmoan about the customers being in the way (how dare we do shopping). Asda was much better before being sold by Walmart and it was not that great then.

Used to love the extra large extra tasty chickens but now you only do the large and the seasoning on it has been cut back so instead of a 9/10 for flavour it's a 6 now.Hardly any chickens are cooked and ready in the store now after the big rebuild of the hot counter ..caters for pizzas but chicken etc is stored in a tiny hot cabinet .I used to travel miles for those tasty chickens but they are just not worth tge journey now.Whoever planned that change of counter needs to be sacked, what a waste of time and money and space

I cannot express how helpful Gary at the bakery was. I called up last minuet as I was in bury st Edmund’s (note customer service in bury could do with some work) but called Ipswich and spoke with a lady who’s name I didn’t get but also super helpful, to get a photo cake printed on Wednesday and gary stayed at the store long enough for me to drive over and get the photo cake done. Thankyou so much.
